In Southern California, Team Rubicon is combining geographic information systems (GIS), the National Risk Index, and Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) data to identify where wildfire risk is greatest and where mitigation efforts can make the biggest difference.
By mapping risk alongside vulnerable populations and critical infrastructure, we can better allocate resources, sharpen operational planning, and make informed decisions on the ground.

Speed to need. That’s the Team Rubicon way.
Before Hurricane Isaias made landfall, our Greyshirt volunteers were already on the ground in Milton, Florida.
We cleared roads so utility crews could restore power to 100,000 residents. For some, that meant groceries saved from spoiling. For one resident, it meant their oxygen tank was running again.
Disaster recovery doesn’t end when the headlines fade. And you don’t have to make headlines to matter.
Your support helps Team Rubicon show up when and where we’re needed most, whether the world is watching or not.

In Santa Rosa County, @TeamRubicon crews cleared large fallen trees so utility crews from Oklahoma could safely reach damaged lines and restore service.
This is recovery in action: states helping other states and partners working side by side to help communities move forward.

Tropical Storm Isaias has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and is rapidly organizing, bringing heavy rain, flooding, and tropical-storm conditions toward the U.S. Gulf Coast.
As the storm tracks north, Team Rubicon is actively monitoring the path, readying equipment, and preparing Greyshirt volunteers for rapid deployment.
If you are in the path of Isaias, monitor local forecasts, review your emergency preparedness plans, and stay safe.

Hurricane Nolo is moving toward Hawaiʻi, and Team Rubicon has activated to respond.
For many residents this is the third storm of the season. Greyshirt volunteers deployed to Hawaiʻi after Hurricanes Lala and Lowell, and families there are still clearing debris and repairing homes. Being asked to get ready for another one before the last one is finished is exhausting.
Equipment from those operations is already pre-staged on the island. Greyshirts are in contact with state and local partners to identify where help is needed as impacts become clear.
We were here before. We are here now.

Three major storms. Three regions. One weekend.
Right now, Team Rubicon Greyshirts are already moving.
▪️ Hawaiʻi: Bracing for Hurricane Nolo while still recovering from recent severe weather. Greyshirts are already on the ground, with more en route.
▪️ The Northeast: Families are prepping for an unusual September nor'easter. Our crews are staging now, ahead of the impact.
▪️ California: Monitoring Hurricane Polo as it tracks toward landfall.
This is what a relentless Super El Niño system looks like. Back-to-back storms, with little time to reset.
The storms are relentless. So are we.

Team Rubicon is on the ground in Lihue, Hawai'i, supporting local communities following the severe impacts of Hurricane Lowell.
Our volunteers are no strangers to stepping up for the people of Hawaiʻi. Just weeks ago, teams deployed across the islands to support recovery efforts after Hurricane Lala brought torrential rains and damaging winds. Now, we're back in action in Lihue, helping families begin to rebuild.

Team Rubicon’s Quick Reaction Force is boots-on-the-ground in Hawaii right now, responding to Tropical Storm Lala.
Our Greyshirt volunteers are providing critical support where it’s needed most: conducting welfare checks on previously trapped residents, route clearance on streets and in neighborhoods, and infrastructure assistance.
With two new tropical disturbances developing east of Hawaii, our teams are ready to respond, if and when additional communities are impacted.

A derecho, tornadoes, and record rainfall tore through the Midwest recently. Power lines down. Roads underwater. Homes damaged. Hundreds of thousands still without electricity across Ohio and Indiana.
Team Rubicon is responding as Greyshirt volunteers are already on the ground clearing debris and helping communities take the first steps toward recovery.

"The rain is unreal and coming in sideways. You can't see the mountains at all." - Debbie A., Hawaiʻi resident
Lala, whose impact began as a Hurricane and continues as a Tropical Storm, is bringing torrential rainfall, damaging wind gusts, and coastal flooding to Hawai'i.
Greyshirts have run 35 operations in Hawaiʻi since 2014. They're staged again and ready to move the moment it's safe to work.
