As the New Mexico Manager of Policy and Programs, Ricky will help lead the state Policy Fellowship, equipping local educators with the tools to shape policy at the state and local levels.

She is a 2026-27 Teach Plus NM Senior Policy Fellow & middle + high school math teacher at Peñasco ISD. She leads her district’s math curriculum implementation & serves on the Professional Practices & Standards Council + the NM CTE Advisory Board
Meet Policy Fellow: Lanette Jacobs!
She is a 2026-27 Teach Plus NM Policy Fellow and 6th grade teacher at Kiser Elementary School in Clayton. She is the coordinator of her school’s summer reading program and was a member of her district’s Math Curriculum Adoption Committee.
