Mostly, I’m just annoyed at only scoring 18/26 when Sporcle asks me to recall England’s 2026 World Cup squad in 20 years’ time 😞. Poor effort from future me.
It’s official. Your #ThreeLions players heading to the @FIFAWorldCup! 🏆

So it will still come down to millimetre margins that will elicit errors in real time (understandably) and take time to analyse with lines that nobody trusts during the VAR process. How is nobody realising that offside is offside, however you spin it? Low blocks though, yay.
Wenger’s new offside rule is approved, will be tested in 🇨🇦 Canadian Premier League April 2026. If successful will be imp globally next year Under new rule: 📑A player will ONLY be offside if entire body has fully passed last defender.

I obviously hope that my old little market town’s church is okay (and, thankfully, nobody was hurt), but I am - as ever - amused by the local coverage. Strong Mick Shipman vibes from this opportunist restaurateur.

I want to buy your house. I know you love it & it’s not on the market, but I value it at £400k? £500k!? For a house that you own & want to keep? That’s not fair! Fine. Just contact me when you’re ready to sell the house you don’t want to leave. £400k remember. Hello? #Isak

If a buyer’s offer doesn’t reflect a seller’s value of any item, I don’t see why that’s ever contentious. Either the buyer meets the valuation, negotiates or finds an alternative. Truly baffled why the Isak situation has been made any more complex, nuanced or loaded than that.

Jess Carter having the tournament she’d had, receiving the abuse she did, being trusted even still, and playing like that, sums it all up. A unity, gutsiness and self belief, driven by a completely unflappable manager, that we’ve simply not had with the men’s team. Legacy secured

Sarina assessing her options for Italy tomorrow morning…

Absolutely huge from Lucy Bronze. Pure guts and durability while everyone else lost their nerve (and limbs) around her. Carried that team from start to finish tonight.

Didn’t realise how much I’ve missed just celebrating a goal until that Agyemang equaliser went in. Can always rely on the Lionesses to liven up a summer 👏 👏

Absolutely the most dangerous thing I could have seen mere seconds after arriving in Newcastle for the week. 💵 #adidasOriginals 🖤 🤍

Also seems absurd we have resuscitated this pathetic, defeatist, self-pitying narrative about the England shirt hanging heavy on the shoulders of the players. Southgate got rid of all that. We have sunk back into it in record time

Imagine monitoring and developing a young talent for six years, hiring them, then firing them two working days later because you ONLY THEN realise they’re not good enough. Now imagine it’s the 5th time it’s happened. It’s beyond even Man Utd levels of ineptitude. #RedBull

What do people do when they win football? I’m thoroughly unequipped. Like, am I just emotional forever now? Do I consume content that isn’t from today ever again? Will the roar as Dan Burn’s header went in ever not be the first thing I listen to each morning? I’m a mess. #NUFC

All I want for my birthday this year is for England to beat Wales, France to caca their pantalons against Scotland, and for Newcastle to do something they’ve not done in 56 years. Not too much to ask from a weekend 🙏🏻

What I would give to hear a recording of that BDB phone call 🥹
"He's such a tall guy - but obviously it's easy to overlook him!" 😂 #BBCFootball

Big Dan Burn getting an England call up is already the best birthday gift I could have asked for 🥹

Disagree. Imagine getting a three match ban for a tournament that only has a maximum of six games available to PL teams. A couple of bad draws and you might be suspended for three years! It makes far more sense to merge domestic football together when it comes to suspensions.

You set a precedent all season that you’re not changing decisions unless it really is a clear and obvious mistake, and then you overturn that? How on earth is that ‘clearly’ NOT a pen once given?#EVEMUN
