Today's ruling affirms that President Trump's latest vanity project is blatantly illegal.
The President's 250-foot triumphal arch would quite literally overshadow the graves of the fallen heroes laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
This hallowed ground must be forever protected and preserved to honor the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

In 2006, Virginia’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage passed with 57% of the vote. On Tuesday, an amendment to remove it passed with roughly the same share. richmond.com/news/state-regi…
Texas. Georgia. Ohio. Iowa. Nevada. And results are still coming in.
Americans know that Democratic Governors are focused on getting things done. Standing up to the chaos and recklessness that is hurting our neighbors. Putting them first.
@DemGovs ran hard. And they’ll deliver.

BREAKING: Virginia voters have passed Question 2, repealing the 2006 same-sex marriage ban and codifying marriage equality.
Virginia is for lovers—and tonight, love has won again.
Congratulations @JamesWalkinshaw on winning re-election to serve Virginia’s 11th District!
Families in Virginia’s Fourth District are keeping their excellent representative: @JennMcClellanVA!
Thank you, VA-04!

ALT Graphic of my victory statement. Text reads, “Thank you to the voters of the 4th District for entrusting me to serve you for another term. I'm honored to have earned your support, and will continue working to address the cost of living crisis, protect your rights, and be your voice in Washington. Tonight, Virginians sent a loud and clear message that they want leaders who focus on building community while fighting the chaos created by the Trump administration. That's exactly what I will do in the 120th Congress."
Virginia’s First District has chosen someone who will always put them first. Shannon Taylor has a long record of fighting for Virginia’s families — and now, she is bringing that fight to Washington.
Shannon has always led with a deep commitment to her community. Throughout her career, Shannon has protected families, taken on bad actors, and always served with integrity. Shannon is the right person to stand up against the reckless decisions we are seeing out of Washington that are skyrocketing costs, threatening access to healthcare, and hurting our neighbors. Shannon will work tirelessly to deliver real results for the First District, contend with high costs, and take on the rampant corruption that is hurting families.
Congratulations to Congresswoman-elect Shannon Taylor. I am glad that Capitol Hill will soon see Shannon’s commitment to delivering for families and to standing up for her neighbors.
Virginia, I am deeply honored by the trust you have placed in me as your Congresswoman-Elect.
Tonight, we sent a message: people are sick and tired of the corruption in Washington, and it must end. Thank you to every voter and member of this team who helped win this fight. Together, we will lower costs and change Congress so it works for us, not itself.
Thank you, Virginia. Let‘s get to work.
The dean of the delegation @BobbyScott4VA3 is heading back to Congress!
I know you will continue to make Virginia’s 3rd District proud.

Tonight, the voters of Virginia’s Second Congressional District made their voices heard loudly and clearly: The status quo in Washington is not working and voters have shown that Hampton Roads is ready for change. I want to thank every voter who showed up to cast a ballot, every volunteer who made calls and knocked doors, and every supporter who put their time, energy, and heart into this campaign.
Tomorrow, we start righting the ship.
Elaine Luria has a demonstrated record of delivering for Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore. She has shown that she knows how to cut through chaos in Washington and get things done. Now — as reckless decisions are causing Virginians to feel the squeeze of rising costs at the grocery store, on their health insurance premiums, and at the pump — Elaine is ready to get to work again.
As her prior record of service in Congress shows, Elaine worked to bring down healthcare and prescription drug costs, bring new investments to Virginia’s Second District, and bring stronger leadership to Washington. A 20-year Navy veteran, Elaine focused on delivering for our veterans and their families — passing the largest expansion of VA benefits for Virginians in more than 30 years.
The Second District is sending a true champion back to Capitol Hill who will get to work on day one to stand up to the chaos that is hurting Virginia families. Elaine will always put the people of Coastal Virginia first.

Congratulations @YVindman!
Thank you, Congressman Vindman, for your leadership on behalf of Virginia’s 7th District.
To every volunteer, supporter, and neighbor who poured their heart and soul into this campaign: THANK YOU.
Serving Virginians is the honor of my lifetime, and I am incredibly proud to have earned your trust to continue fighting for you in Congress.
This victory belongs to all of you. Now, let's get back to work.
Today is a historic day for our Commonwealth. Virginians voted decisively to enshrine marriage equality in our Constitution and affirm that Virginia is a welcoming place for all families. I am grateful to every Virginian who has helped us take this step forward.
It was just two decades ago that Virginia passed a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. And while couples across our Commonwealth have been able to legally marry in the 10 years since the landmark Obergefell v. Hodges decision, these celebrations have occurred under the shadow of Virginia’s ban. That ends today.

Virginia voters have passed a ballot initiative to enshrine the right to reproductive freedom in their constitution.
Virginians made clear that reproductive rights are not up for debate. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, states across the South and across the country rolled back these rights. But not Virginia.
Our Commonwealth remains the only state in the South that has not restricted women's reproductive freedoms since the Dobbs decision. Now, because Virginians used their voices at the ballot box, these rights will be enshrined in our Constitution. No politician can threaten our right to choose, right to privacy, right to access IVF, or right to contraception.
As a mother, I know that these decisions are deeply personal. As Governor, I am proud that our Commonwealth voted to make sure personal medical decisions stay between a patient and their doctor — not politicians.
Congratulations @SuhasforVA! Grateful for your service on behalf of Virginia’s 10th District.
Virginia’s 8th District is sending @DonBeyerVA back to Congress!
Virginia is sending our senior senator back to Capitol Hill!
Congratulations, @MarkWarnerVA.
