Mya Townes
Georgia #23
Sophomore attacker 5’3 right footed
Aldie, Virginia
St. James FC
♦️Mya started 17 games her first year, playing right winger and striker, and tallied 7 points (3 goals-1 assist) in over 1400 minutes played
◼️ The foundation of Maya’s games is based in her speed, strength, and high attacking IQ.
♦️ She is an explosive ball carrier with twitchy movements; spins defenders regularly 1v1 and uses her body well to shield challenges away to hold possession. Improved greatly in hold-up play as the #9
◼️Happy to strike with her weak foot, even fake shot with her right foot then fire with the weak one
♦️Dangerous set piece deliveries from her chips, stays wide in those scenarios since she can beat defenders to the end line with dekes/pace to put a cross back in the mix
◼️Plays best when she is in flow with her wingers. Works upfield to accept the pass, staying strong, and playing nice through balls into space for her wingers to pressure defenses
♦️A nitty gritty defender! Causes disruption with her determination to win the ball. Can sometimes be too aggressive and foul or allow space to open up
Here is what I’ll be watching in Year 2. To be how amazing I think she will be, these are areas to improve!
⚠️Consistent and strong first touches
⚠️Sharpening decision making in final 3rd
⚠️Craftier runs in front of goal
Athens, get ready for Mya to EAT 🔜

I am BEYOND grateful to announce my commitment to further my education and play Division 1 soccer at the University of Buffalo!
First, I thank God for making this dream a reality and blessing me with the opportunity to continue pursuing what I love. I’m incredibly grateful for my family, friends, and teammates for their constant support, encouragement. I’d like to thank all of the others who made this journey possible as well. For Internationals Soccer Club, Strongsville High School, Ross Nicol, and AL Reynolds for always willing to help me improve as a player. Above all, I am immensely thankful for the support my parents have always provided for me. Their belief in me has helped me reach this point, and I couldn’t have done it without them.
Thank you to Coach Burke, Coach Victoria, Coach Emily, and for the rest of the coaching staff at Buffalo for providing me with this incredible opportunity. This is truly a dream come true, and I’m extremely proud to consider myself a part of this program.
GO BULLS! 💙⚽

You can’t leave a man with that foot this much space. 2-0 to the Seagulls over the champs xitter.cf/nook28940509/status/21…
With Nathan Collins injury for Brentford, we’ve had an opportunity to see 20 YO Jannik Schuster. He’s been more than up for it
Smart, great positioning, rarely caught out, wins his aerial/ground duels, physical with the strikers
Picked up an assist last night too🐝 #BrentfordFC
Fabian Rieder just sent a ball to Robin Fellhauer that could feed families for months 🤤 #FCA Rieder has a goal or assist in each of Augsburg’s 4 matches. Special player #bundesliga
Absolutely BALLING in his Premier League debut today for #AVFC
The GOAL is the cherry on top, of course
But he’s been so comfortable in build up, transition, and defense
Winning fouls with slick feet & strong shield, passing the ball well, lovely movement
Johan Manzambi, you are a treat to watch
Player Analysis: Johan Manzambi
🔘SC Freiburg
🔘19 years old (October 2005)
🔘6’0 right footed- Switzerland🇨🇭
The hidden gem of Geneva has emerged spectacularly and leaving everyone in awe🤩Johan is a pure talent with a feel for the game you cannot teach
Analysis is from his matches with Switzerland and Freiburg since April 🔎
Strengths:
➕positional flexibility: LW-RW-AM-CM, he can play all at a high level
➕loves to take defenders on: has the skill and sizzling pace to win often, happy to cut inside and move ball to his “weak” foot
➕on ball: takes care of it, superb strength, awareness of surroundings, wins fouls
➕Enjoyable/keen distribution, especially with pressure: The faster he has to process, the better the ball
➕Defense: racks up interceptions, executes tactics, passionate pressing, recovery speed, high % of aerial duels won
➕incredible game IQ for his age and professional experience: extremely crafty and composed, makes winning plays
What to Improve:
➖sharpening passing decisions, touches, and movement off ball in final 3rd
➖staying aggressive/energetic all throughout the match
His Future:
🌟Taking off like a rocket 🚀
🌟1st pro game in September! 1st assist/ goal in April
🌟1st Swiss cap Saturday with an assist/goal yesterday vs USA
🌟He needs to find his true position: love him as a dynamic winger but is a molded center mid
🌟Johan has proved he is poised for a new challenge, however he signed an extension in September until 2028
He will be a must watch this upcoming season with Freiburg as he faces tougher competition in Europa league
Currently valued at 8M, I expect Johan to leave in the next year for 15-20M
Wear your shades Johan, your future is super bright 🕶️
