President @BarackObama showed me something in myself I might never have seen without him. I’m humbled to have his support in this fight. The Affordable Care Act will have laid the groundwork for guaranteed healthcare, and I'm honored to pick up his baton and finally pass Medicare for All.

167,000 Michiganders were kicked off SNAP by Republicans. John James, Bill Huizenga, Tom Barrettt and every Michigan GOPer in Congress voted to steal food from our neighbors to give billionaires a giant tax break. freep.com/story/news/local/m…

Diesel fuel in Michigan just hit $6.81/gal—a new state record and part of a national all-time high set last week, per AAA. When diesel prices skyrocket, so does the cost of everything getting delivered. It’s not sustainable. DC Republicans need to get it under control.

In case you needed a reminder, Trump's tariffs have hit Michigan families harder than any other state. And Republicans like Mike Rogers, John James, Tom Barrett and Bill Huizenga have rubber stamped his cost-raising agenda over and over again. metrotimes.com/news/trumps-t…

As new tariffs on Canada take effect, a state like Michigan, with deep ties to our largest trading partner, is especially vulnerable to higher costs and economic disruption. Whether it's manufacturing, agriculture, or everyday goods, Michiganders are the ones being asked to pay the price. cbsnews.com/detroit/news/tar…

Breaking news - the dark money organization funded by the DeVoses and run by ex-RNC chair Ronna Romney McDaniel opposes Michiganders for Money Out of Politics, wants to KEEP dark money in politics. Weird of them!
NEW: Some of the addresses @MichiganMOP used to make the ballot didn’t seem quite right… So we investigated and found dead-end streets and non-existent houses. Why were these addresses allowed to count?

Our service members are paying the heaviest price for Trump’s new Middle East war. The very least he can do as Commander-in-Chief is support them, not insult them.

Yep. We’re a unified, height-diverse ticket that’ll work for the people of Michigan—whether that’s protecting your voting rights, standing up to corporate price-gougers, or grabbing something for you off the top of your fridge. (If it’s a VERY tall fridge, call @garlin not me).
Michigan Democrats present the their ticket of candidates who can grab something off the top of the fridge for the candidates who can’t reach the top of the fridge

70% of Americans don't want energy-guzzling AI data centers being built in their communities, including 63% of Republicans. Trump's response? "You can't fight it, you have to go with it." Reminder that Trump owns millions of dollars worth of stock in Big Tech corporations pushing data centers.

When Trump said “I’m not going to start a war,” many Americans believed that promise - and voted for him. When he said his Iran war would be over in a few weeks, many believed that too. Americans today are fed up with the cost of this war - and the lies.

So true.
If wages were higher government wouldn’t have to provide programs to compensate: employers shouldn’t be able to externalize their labor costs and impose them on the public at large

Unbelievable. When Republicans took control of the State House, Matt Hall defied the state Constitution, refusing to send 9 bills passed by the full legislature to the Governor - bills that would have lowered healthcare costs for teachers and public employees, helped recruit and retain corrections officers by allowing them to opt into the state police pension plan, and protected Michiganders' disability payments, workers comp, or public assistance from garnishment. They were all good policies to lower costs and support working families. So under Majority Leader @WinnieBrinks, we in the State Senate took Matt Hall and the Republican-led House to court. And today, after battling for two years, we won. The people of Michigan won. Governor Whitmer vetoed them. You'd better believe Senate Democrats will send those bills again. michiganadvance.com/2026/07/…
