Composer @EHowardComposer joins The Ivors Academy Board 🌟
A leading contemporary composer celebrated for her innovative fusion of music, mathematics, and multimedia, Emily is currently Chair of The Ivors Academy’s Classical Council. Her distinguished career includes a Personal Chair in Composition at @rncmlive, founding director of @RNCMPRiSM, and awards such as a British Composer Award and Ivor Novello Award nomination.
On joining the Board, Emily stated her passion for strengthening music education, protecting creators’ rights in the age of AI, and fostering an environment where composers and songwriters feel supported to take artistic risks. CEO @RobertoNeri47 highlights Emily as a visionary composer whose appointment to the Board will ensure that classical composition is represented at the highest level at the Academy.
