I found my 7th piece from @lphaCentauriKid’s The Great Color Study in my wallet today. I’ve been collecting the series slowly, waiting for the Muse’s call for each piece. The Muse called for Algae this time but the weth fairy delivered Asphalt first. With Argonauts introducing many new collectors to a.c.k. here's a quick 🧡

I find it interesting that Asphalt was the most popular choice of the ten. It's memento mori painting death as mundane rather than elevated as part of the miraculous circle of life (Pollen, Coral, Algae), seeded by cosmic residue (Stardust), reflecting on the ultimate meaninglessness of power and fame (Royalty), or a nod to art history and the existential beauty of the void (Blue - and the Muse's first call for me).

Of course, Asphalt's popularity could be nothing to do with interpretation at all, and just a preference for colour, which is the other core theme of the collection. And the collection lives up to its name. Each colour is carefully considered, each title encourages deep reflection and influences interpretation. The Great Color Study.

FWA will shortly buy PNKSTR's cheapest listing Punk 242 will become the first punk to be bought and sold by PNKSTR twice PNKSTR will use the 35.2555 eth it receives from the sale to buy and burn PNKSTR tokens At the current token price that will reduce PNKSTR supply by ~0.566%, to nearly 14% burned Meanwhile Punk 242 will be added to the FWA prize pool for one lucky punter to take home a 4 colour monochromatic beauty The synergy works

I use 3 main PFPs and it strikes me how their differences reflect the evolution of NFTs as PFPs: 1. Punk 3330: 1/10,000, immutable, 576 pixels of art history 2. Citizen 6699: 1/69, soon to be animated, a surviving record of @m0dest___ 's Death & Taxes performative masterpiece 3. Argonaut 7224: 1/9,978, likely to evolve should the muse desire. @lphaCentauriKid's enigmatic avatar collection Blank space for a Shady or heart you. hmu

Collected a couple more of @justinaversano's Moments of the Unknown - Polaroids today The daily drops and auctions were a highlight of the MOTU collection Every bidder for the Super 8 video artworks received a Polaroid as an NFT The Polaroids were the first portrait for each shoot, made to break the ice before the video shoot, and are beautiful works in their own right
