After much deliberation, I’ve decided to cancel the release of Monster Luv Radio. Long story short, I made this game for the wrong reasons, and that energy hasn’t been good for the game, or me. So I’m letting it go and taking some time to recenter.

Work at a studio for 25yrs, win multiple awards: get laid off. Relocate 3kmi to work at a studio for 4mos: laid off. There's really no amount of hard work anyone can do to make themselves irreplaceable. Preventing layoffs requires empathy and good decisions from Execs.

Entirely true that nobody deserves to be laid off, I think focusing on award-winning and successful employees still getting the axe just disproves capitalism's narratives about how hard work will earn you loyalty from your employer. Even more proof that it never will.
