This bill is about instilling safe and ethical hunting practices in the next generation of young hunters. As a mother who actively hunts with my children, I understand that responsible hunting techniques are critical when connecting to the outdoors.
Digital distractions are robbing kids of the experiences that make childhood so great. Restricting cellphone usage during school hours makes sense on many levels and I'm hopeful this measure will soon make it to the governor's desk to become law.

My bill to reduce cell phone access in schools has passed the #PAHouse Education Committee and now heads to the full House for consideration. By reducing digital distractions, students would have a more productive learning environment to focus on school, not social media.
Thanks to @MartyGriffinKD for letting me talk about breaking the screen addiction of our children (and ourselves). My legislation to lock up students’ cellphones during the school day would help kids focus on learning and get their eyes off screens.

School counselors are the ones who put students on their pathway to success. They can't do that if they are constantly "filling the gaps" in the school day and not counseling.

Paraquat, which is part of the first generation of commercial pesticides, has killed thousands of people across the globe.
It has been linked to Parkinson’s disease and childhood leukemia, and research has found that it can harm people both after a single exposure and after repeated, low-level exposures. Even a small amount can be fatal. We must ban paraquat now.
Thanks to my colleagues for supporting my legislation that would protect thousands of acres of our beautiful forests by removing the cap for the Pennsylvania Game Commission land acquisitions.

I’ll always be an advocate for conservation and my bill would mean more land protected. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Pennsylvania’s hunters, their dollars fund conservation in a big way.
Devices like Glock switches have no place in society, being able to turn any handgun into a machine gun. They put everyone at risk. Just ask the family of Police Chief Justin McIntire who was killed by a gunman using one of these on his handgun in 2023. youtu.be/njMvkbdHdec
