Got frustrated with agents writing crappy prompts
- bloated prompts with redundant rules
- micro contradictions forcing more reasoning
- needing to write complex wrappers for each agent for dynamic prompt compilation at runtime
so we built TypeGlish.com
OSS soon

We moved our own support agent to Voiceflow Core and measured 575 production sessions:
Cost per session: −52%
Customer satisfaction: unchanged
Resolved conversations: up 3 points
Same conversations replayed on both models: ~3.5× cheaper on Voiceflow Core for the same answers.

the constant “gdp = marketcap” thing to make headlines is getting boring
yes, and nvidia is the world’s 4th largest economy using this math - take that Japan 🇯🇵

fable 5 just refactored my entire codebase in one call
67 tool invocations. 1M+ new lines. 24 brand new files
it modularized everything. broke up monoliths. cleaned up spaghetti
none of it worked
but boy was it beautiful
AI is bad for tech outside of SF/NYC imo
Being a non SV/NYC "tech hub" is just shorthand for "we have good engineers". Toronto is an example.
GTM > Engineering is not new, but now with AI coding - that gap will widen further. Cities w/o GTM and scaling culture will fall behind
we had an enterprise customer say they need to churn because voiceflow is too expensive
we found out their corp reseller had been marking up our price ~5x while telling the client it was a 15% markup
super shady - leech on the ecosystem
a founder has three jobs. everything else is serious amounts of noise.
1. you have to tell the story. roughly in three registers. first investors need inevitability. customers need to *feel* what you do/stand for. & your team needs a mission worth their best years.
2. you must secure the capital before you need it. running out of money is running out of options. you have to be relentless about it.
3. you must obsess over the product. product is the story made accessible for everyone. every shipped detail is a sentence back into the narrative in point number one.
this is the entire job.
everything else you either delegate or kill. early on with a really small team, delegation is a huge tax so you have to learn to kill more than you delegate.

Voiceflow released Global Tools 📣
Global tools are APIs, integrations, MCP servers, and functions added at the agent level rather than inside individual playbooks
One important caveat: global tools only work when the agent is in an agentic context (i.e. the LLM is actively reasoning), such as inside the global agent, playbooks, or crews
They are not available during scripted workflow steps like buttons or listen steps
This comes to fix a new bad pattern emerging in V4 projects, where you were creating a playbook like "Verify Email" with only one tool (e.g. Resend, Mailgun), so it could be re-used across different playbooks
In the video, I show you how I connected VF's docs to Claude with MCP
This is one way to have grounded @voiceflow "knowledge" inside Claude and Claude Code
The other way is to build custom SKILLS!
Reply with SKILLS, if I should share my Voiceflow Claude SKILLS 👇

Proud brother moment last night seeing my sister perform after recently signing her first label deal
Dropped out of school and worked in silence for years on her music, grinding freelance podcast editing just to keep the dream alive
Entrepreneurial hustle with no quit 💪

It has been so much crazier than just this. The tell all books in 10 years from every corner of industry will be something else
Running a company:
2020: can you survive a pandemic?
2021: still here? we’re going to give all of your competitors $100m series A rounds.
2022: wow, you made it? okay, all engineers cost $600,000/year now.
2023: nice job! okay, SVB failed and we’re going to take away your bank account.
2024: a survivor I see. but can you pivot from ai to crypto to defense tech back to ai-enabled defense tech in a 12 month period to stay relevant?
2025: unfortunately all of your competitors have raised $2b series B rounds. oh and only 500 engineers are relevant and they cost $100m/yr each.
2026: well, well, well. you’re still in business? let’s deploy the thunderclap of godlike LLMs from the heavens so all of your customers can rebuild your app in 2 hours. can you survive?
Dramatic way to pivot to open source
Mercor AI has allegedly been breached by Lapsus
939GB of source code
4TB of data in total
All data from their TailScale VPN
@mercor
Working at the Voiceflow office and heard a massive explosion that shook the room - took a look and actually saw the second with a huge fireball (didn’t get a video)
Tons of black smoke now - likely a gas explosion
security & compliance would be much easier if we just used delve @Xavidop 😆
i'd be in jail, but that's par for the course w/ forbes 30u30
the startup ecosystem needs a reset -
vibe coding and tons of capital following buzz are allowing for so much grift
