How the fuck does filling a job with a foreigner help americans? That specialized foreigner lets the company grow and hire more americans for all the support jobs around them. Jobs aint a fixed number you stupid fuck. Basic economics means more skilled people expand the business so more jobs go to americans. Are you really this stupid?

this is quite a scandal in the juggling/circus community rn, automated pages are stealing videos, changing the artists into 'hot' ladies with particular fashion choices, and getting way more likes. on a huge scale, because this is end to end automated. and a bit ridiculous tbh

Level headed, easy to read rundown of the Cornell case.
Cornell University - Three Different Accounts 2024 Police Statement vs. Cornell Title IX Records vs. 2026 Civil Complaint A recently released New York Times article adds another layer to the Cornell case. Before I dive in, I want to be clear: I am not making any assertions about who is telling the truth, which version is correct, or who may be lying. I am simply comparing the accounts and records that have been released or reported publicly. The Times reports that it obtained hundreds of pages from Cornell's 2024 administrative investigation, including interviews with Jane Doe, the accused men and other witnesses. According to the Times, the men's accounts sometimes contradicted one another. All denied wrongdoing. Four acknowledged having sexual contact with Doe but said the encounters were consensual. The others denied participating in sexual encounters. One man went further, saying he was “a victim of sexual misconduct” because Doe performed oral sex on him when he was “too incapacitated” to consent. Doe's account was very different. She told Cornell investigators she was “super drunk” and described being given large amounts of drugs and alcohol and repeatedly raped. Three weeks after the party, she told a police investigator: “I can say with 100 percent confidence I was raped.” Let's jump in. --- The initial threesome 2026 civil complaint - Male 1 proposed a threesome while Doe was incapable of consenting, and the sexual activity occurred without her consent. 2024 police statement - Doe said she agreed to the threesome. She was attracted to Male 1 and said that, in her “drunken curiosity,” she wondered whether Male 1 and Male 2 wanting a threesome meant they were gay. Cornell Title IX records - Newell said Ingalls invited him to participate and that he assumed Ingalls had obtained Doe's permission. Newell also said he and Ingalls had consumed substantial amounts of alcohol, marijuana, and ketamine; enough that both eventually vomited. --- How the initial threesome ended 2026 civil complaint - Male 1 became sleepy and wanted to take a nap. 2024 police statement - Doe noticed Male 1 becoming sleepy and losing his erection. She told Male 2 they needed to stop to make sure Male 1 was okay, and Male 2 stopped. Doe then described caring for Male 2 when he became nauseated and checking on Male 1 while he slept. Cornell Title IX records - --- Ketamine, marijuana and alcohol 2026 civil complaint - Doe alleges she was pressured, plied, commanded and instructed to consume ketamine, marijuana and additional alcohol. 2024 police statement - Doe described being handed an unopened beer. She also described being offered ketamine and later being instructed to take more. She acknowledged taking ketamine multiple times during the night. Cornell Title IX records - Doe told Cornell investigators she was “super drunk.” She described a horrific night in which she couldn't reach her phone, was given large amounts of drugs and alcohol. The Times reports that Newell and Ingalls said they had consumed alcohol, marijuana and ketamine and both became sick enough to vomit. Lee said people weren't slurring and “seem perfectly normal.” Kretzschmar similarly said Doe wasn't slurring and didn't appear drunk. Lopes said he had a “pretty solid recollection” because he believed he hadn't drunk very much, which he estimated as roughly six drinks, including three beers and three vodka mixed drinks. --- The second threesome 2026 civil complaint - Male 3 entered the room, grabbed Doe away from Male 2 and began kissing her while Male 2 groped her from behind. The complaint alleges Lopes and Newell then placed Doe on a bed and began having sex with her. 2024 police statement - Doe said Male 3 knocked and she let him into the room. Her account then describes sexual activity involving Male 2 and Male 3 similar to the civil complaint. Cornell Title IX records - Lopes (Male 3) gave investigators the opposite account of who initiated the sexual contact. He said Doe initiated it and did not ask for his consent. Lopes said he eventually became “uncomfortable” and left around 2 a.m. with three friends to go to McDonald's. He said he didn't tell them what had happened partly because he was “admittedly a bit embarrassed.” --- The proposed foursome 2026 civil complaint - I found no corresponding description of this exchange in the complaint. 2024 police statement - Doe said Male 1 woke up and wanted to join the ongoing sexual activity as a foursome. She responded: “Hell No.” She explained that she believed a foursome would require anal sex. According to her account, the foursome did not happen. Cornell Title IX records - Nothing in the material reported by the Times that I've seen addresses this proposed foursome. --- Males 4–7 enter the room 2026 civil complaint - Doe says she hid beneath the covers, couldn't leave because her phone was across the room and describes additional men entering an increasingly coercive situation. 2024 police statement - Doe likewise described hiding beneath the covers. She said Male 7 (Sarabia) made a rude comment, apologized, grabbed her face and kissed her. She pushed him away. She said the men then complimented her appearance. When Male 4 asked whether they could do ketamine from her body, she responded: “Sure.” Cornell Title IX records — The accounts from the men describe a substantially different scene. Lee said Doe attempted to initiate sexual activity with him after he snorted ketamine from her body. Lee said he backed away: “I thought it wasn't the time for that.” Kretzschmar and Norris said Newell's Snapchat message caused them concern and prompted them to check what was happening. Kretzschmar said Doe wasn't slurring and didn't appear drunk. He said he specifically asked whether she was all right because of “the nature of the text” and because there was one woman in a room with several men. Norris similarly said he had been “somewhat concerned” by the Snapchat but was reassured after entering: “She was conversational with people, and that alleviated whatever concerns I had from the text before.” Norris said he remained for only about five minutes, did not use drugs in the room and did not have sex with Doe. Doe's own police interview also distinguished Kretzschmar and Norris from some of the other men. According to the records obtained by the Times, she described them as: “more like voyeurs than anything.” --- Sarabia enters after 2:30 a.m. 2026 civil complaint - Doe alleges Sarabia insulted her before grabbing and kissing her. 2024 police statement - Doe similarly described Male 7 making a rude remark, apologizing, grabbing her face and kissing her. She said she pushed him away. Cornell Title IX records - Sarabia said he entered after 2:30 a.m. and was initially alarmed by what he saw: “I was immensely concerned since I've never seen anything like this in my four years at the house.” But he said his concern diminished after “all the people in the room” told him to come inside. He specifically recalled Doe saying something along the lines of: “This was normal in the medieval times.” --- How the larger group encounter ended 2026 civil complaint - Males 2, 3 and 5–7 eventually left. 2024 police statement - Doe said Male 3 returned with another fraternity member who told everyone to get out. Cornell Title IX records - The material reported by the Times does not address this. --- The final threesome with Males 1 and 4 2026 civil complaint - Doe alleges she was brought to another room, instructed to consume additional ketamine and became completely incapacitated. She alleges oral and vaginal sex was forced upon her until approximately 5:45 a.m., after which she lost consciousness. 2024 police statement - Doe remembered snorting additional ketamine and described herself as approximately 8 out of 10 intoxicated. She said Male 1 proposed another threesome because he wanted “redemption” for earlier in the night. Doe initially asked Male 1: “What happened to just you and me?” She couldn't remember how the sexual activity began but remembered vaginal and oral sex occurring. At approximately 5:45 a.m., she said she was tired and needed to turn in. According to the statement summary, both men stopped at that point, as far as she could remember. Cornell Title IX records - Lee said he specifically asked Doe for consent before participating in a threesome. He recalled telling her that if she was uncomfortable or didn't want to continue, they could call it a night. According to Lee, Doe responded: “We're all consenting adults here.” --- Seeing these accounts side-by-side doesn't tell us which version is true. If anything, it reinforces how difficult it is to reach definitive conclusions from competing first-person accounts when independent corroborating evidence is limited. I want to thank @benryanwriter for sharing a gift link to the New York Times article. I'll share his post below.

Tracey's screenshot isn't actually from the New York court system (nycourts.gov), nor is it from any filing in the case. It's from a rando third party website created two weeks ago (ecourtrecords.org).

There’s a distance between what I presume the mindset of the SNL writers on this skit (which has some good lines) and the most enthusiastic responses from the no brakes on AI crowd that is, at least, interesting. Let’s call it a fun alignment

“Republicans have legendarily bad midterm” isn’t guaranteed but is a pretty realistic scenario.
Welcome back to Special Elex Saturday! (It's Texas) Absolutely BONKERS result tonight, as Democrat Taylor Rehmet flips Trump+17 TX SD9 in Fort Worth by a WHOPPING ~14%! For reference, TX SD9 contains nearly a million people - larger than a congressional district!

The 2006(ish?) TIME Magazine selection of "you" as the Person of the Year got made fun of a lot, but honestly with hindsight that's a decent estimate of a big shift in communication mediums and content.
