[1/2] On Sunday 28 June 2026, we honoured the 55,573 brave airmen of Bomber Command who lost their lives during the Second World War. As guardians of the Bomber Command Memorial, we are proud to host the service to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
It was a privilege for BBMF and RAF Coningsby to host Their Royal Highnesses The Princess of Wales and Prince George as we marked Armed Forces Day. A day to honour those who have given so much in service to our nation, both past and present.

Marking Armed Forces Day by reflecting on time spent with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby. Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive. A powerful reminder of the courage, skill and dedication of those who serve, past and present. Thank you to all those who have served and continue to serve.
It’s Armed Forces Day, and we’re spending the weekend at the Aldershot National Event alongside teams from the @RoyalAirForce, @RoyalNavy and @BritishArmy.

The magnificent @RAFBBMF is always a perennial favourite with the audience at the Midlands Air Festival.
This year they will be displaying two WW2 fighters and a rare outing for the C47 Dakota. Leading the formation will be the commanding officer of the Memorial Flight.

The @ww2headquarters team had a brilliant day yesterday with the @RAFBBMF. A team who were a delight to meet and chat with.
For the final flight of #Spitfire90 we were joined by @astro_timpeake who flew on board the Dakota to Southampton.
Tim judged the competition run by the @telegraph to win a flight in ‘K5054’ as she returns back to the home of @spitfiresdotcom later today!
