Really wonder how this game would have gone of they were meeting for the title instead of 3rd. Still a highly entertaining game for a bunch of players who I assumed would half ass it.
This was right after the England goal and, through the heroics of Djed Spence, did not result in a goal.
At the time, he was a hero of all England. 35 minutes later, it was a meaningless effort.

Apart from all other discussions, the pressure Balogun will be under today will be enormous, and I hope it doesn't trickle down to the team. For Belgium, which is furious (they are here thanks to a bad VAR penalty btw) but look beatable, this incident could be the fuel they need to push them over

Before people freak out about losing a game in the group, a little reminder that literally the last 5 World Cup winners did not win all three group stage matches.
Furthermore, two of them (Argentina, 2022; Spain, 2010) lost their openers when the best XI were playing ... not a meaningless game with backups. Learn from it and move on.
