A team of Directing Staff from #CDM_IDS conducted a five-day #NetAssessment capsule at the National Defence College, Sri Lanka, for the 5th National Security and Strategic Studies Course. The course trains senior tri-service officers of Brigadier rank and equivalent as strategic thinkers and policy-makers in national security, statecraft, diplomacy and governance. The team also called on the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka. #DEFORTHOCON2026 | Advancing Orthopaedic Care Military Hospital Khadki, #Pune, organised DEFORTHOCON 2026, a two-day Inter-Command Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme focused on “Degenerative Joint Disorders—Evolutionary Trends in Management and Recent Advances in Arthroplasty.” Surg Vice Admiral Manish Honwad, VSM, Director & Commandant, Armed Forces Medical College, graced the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guest. The CME Programme brought together senior orthopaedic specialists and faculty from the Armed Forces Medical Services and civilian institutions for deliberations on knee, hip and shoulder arthroplasty, complex deformities, primary and revision joint replacement, evolving surgical techniques and recent technological advances. The 2nd India-Greece Joint Working Group (JWG) on Defence Cooperation was held at the Hellenic Army Academy on 15 October 2026, co-chaired by Ambassador a.h. Michel Spinellis and Joint Secretary (IC) Dr Amit Telang. Both sides reviewed ongoing defence cooperation and explored new initiatives in capacity building, training, regional security, defence industry & maritime cooperation.
