Chicken and waffles are overrated, like Southern megachurches. The vexing thing about the latter is that nearly everyone there should know better yet participates anyway.

The center of evangelicalism (even the reformedish type) slouches toward the egalitarian and inclusive ethos and practice of the culture. The slouchers believe they can maintain a high regard for Scripture even as they ignore important parts of it—"...but it might work for us."
It would not be correct to say that I am not the kind of person who likes a book of this particular type.

Those opposed to 'Marrow theology' are either ill informed (e.g., they've read about The Marrow that it was antinomian), ignorant (they've not read it), they've misread it, or they've read it and they're just Baxterite neonomians.

114 Q. But can those converted to God keep these commandments perfectly?
A. No. In this life even the holiest have only a small beginning of this obedience. Nevertheless, with all seriousness of purpose, they do begin to live according to all, not only some, of God’s commandments.

This is tragic.
Harmeet has been a champion for the civil rights of young white Christian men. No one has done more than her to crush the DEI regime that targeted them.
And this is how she is repaid by the very people she fought for.
These young fools—ignorant, arrogant Nick Fuentes acolytes—are trying to make the Right a “Christians only” party while simultaneously making Christianity look as repulsive as possible. It’s electoral suicide.

Sister Aimee was part of Chuck Smith's background.
Major news out of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, the influential 9500-member Calvary Chapel church (CC) founded by Chuck Smith.
Pastor Char Broderson, grandson of Chuck Smith, announced on Sunday their intent to begin ordaining women pastors, in direct opposition to CC's distinctives.
A statement from the Calvary Chapel Association Heartland Regional Team describes these actions as "deeply grievous" and a departure from "from important convictions Pastor Chuck faithfully taught and modeled."
"As a regional team, we have serious concerns about the direction Costa Mesa has taken...Although disagreement over these doctrines does not, in itself, determine a person’s salvation, these are consequential matters of biblical interpretation, church order, and pastoral faithfulness.
We do NOT affirm the ordination of women as elders or pastors as biblically sound or consistent with the Calvary Chapel distinctives upheld by the Calvary Chapel Association."

If this is shocking, you haven’t been paying attention to the trajectory—or better, the drift angle—of evangelicalism over the last decade.
