In fact, maybe we start acting like the U.S isn’t part of this at all. Stop hoping the U.S suddenly will do the right thing. because hope is not the same as trust.

I understand perfectly well why Witkoff is kissing Putin’s ass. He came to negotiate with a Russian dictator.
But that doesn’t make it any less disgusting to watch him call Putin a “humanitarian.”
So let me leave a VERY incomplete list of what Putin and his army have done in Ukraine:
▪️ Abducted and forcibly transferred Ukrainian children to Russia.
▪️ Subjected Ukrainian children to forced Russification and ideological indoctrination in so-called “re-education” programmes.
▪️ Operated torture chambers, including facilities where children were reportedly held and abused.
▪️ Tortured, raped and sexually abused Ukrainian civilians and prisoners of war.
▪️ Executed Ukrainian POWs and civilians.
▪️ Massacred civilians in Bucha and other occupied towns.
▪️ Bombed hospitals, maternity wards, schools and residential buildings.
▪️ Attacked civilians trying to evacuate.
▪️ Destroyed entire cities.
▪️ Systematically attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, leaving millions without electricity, heating and water.
▪️ Subjected civilians in occupied territories to arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and persecution.
And this is nowhere near the full list.
A “humanitarian.”

Because of Putin, thousands of Ukrainian civilians are dead, hospitals lie in ruins, and people are suffering from hunger, torture and Russian terrorism.

We continue coordinating with @jonasgahrstore on our next steps toward a just peace. We held another meeting in Oslo this morning. A lot depends on whether the American side manages to hear something new from Russia today – about peace, not about continuing the war.
I thank all of Norway and Jonas personally for leadership in supporting Ukraine – in defense, the economy, and diplomacy. We feel this support every day.

Trump called the White House correspondent for The Independent, Andrew Feinberg, in the Oval Office a ‘Mongoloid moron’ because Feinberg asked him why his administration was offering whistleblowers just 1% of recovered money for reporting alleged government fraud when an existing law allows whistleblowers to receive 10%–25% of the money recovered.
Vance, of course, wanted to echo his King and joined the ad hominem by calling the journalist an ‘imbecile’.
The journalists present should defend each other, for instance, by repeating the question.
