@gmail is stupidly blocking legit emails from @ShopifySupport's IP (149 . 72 . 90 . 158), and blaming it on poor IP reputation. The problem? Shopify sends very little spam and sends MUCH legit email, so this is likely causing MANY false positives over at GMail. In a discussion about this, someone on a popular email admin list just told (possibly "mansplained"?) Shopify's postmaster, @ChristineBorgia, how/why he thought Google had it right and she had it wrong. His arguments were stupid and he ALSO assumed that she was not very smart about email. Turns out, instead, his arguments were stupid and wrong, and she's one of the world's best experts on email, having also been AOL's postmaster for several years, for just one example! What I find most interesting is how I so often see the most crazy examples of people assuming Google is right and the other entity is wrong in situations like this when all the facts point to the opposite. It's just really bizarre how often I see that - and this example is one of the most egregious examples of that I've ever encountered. WOW!
