If editing Notion on your phone still drives you nuts, try Phrase.
We wrote the block editor from scratch in Swift so it feels like part of iOS. Hold to drag, swipe to select, two fingers to grab several at once.
LaTeX with a real math keyboard, Mermaid diagrams, no sign-up.
Nerdy bit, since someone will ask: the editor has no web view. Web editors are a fair tradeoff (one codebase everywhere), we just went the other way. It lays out its own text with CoreText and uses iOS's own text input and drag and drop, so it feels like the rest of your phone.

The first 100 notes you write are free. Private by design: your notes stay on your device or in your own iCloud, never on our servers.
Curious: what's the one edit you still save for your laptop?
A native editor just feels different.
Smooth scrolling, instant response, and every interaction right where it should be.
A little peek at the editor we built for Phrase.

The best notes in the room come from the one person who isn't taking any.
Today we're launching Phrase, the AI note taker for iPhone and Apple Watch. You talk. Phrase takes the notes: in a meeting, in a lecture, on a walk.
Everything it does, in 45 seconds:
Later, just ask: "What did we decide?" And when the plan changes, edit the note like any other.
Every device: iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac.
No sign-up. We never store your notes. Private by design.
Search "Phrase AI note taker" on the App Store, or tap below. No sign-up.

We built Phrase's native block editor with Swift + CoreText. No WebView.
One selection can cross block types. Text layout, the caret, and IME need to agree.
How we connect UITextInput and NSTextInputClient, with our 10,000-block macOS test results:

In our macOS test, starting with 10,000 blocks:
Character insertion: 1.01 ms median.
Steady scrolling: 0.28 ms median.
Release build, Apple Silicon. These measure main-thread editor work, not display FPS. Reusing layout and visible views keeps that work small.

Two fingers, three checklist items selected.
We built a two-finger sweep into Phrase so you can gather a group of blocks in one movement. Lift your fingers and the selection stays.
A left swipe selects "Pack a light jacket." Lift your finger and the block stays selected.
For a group, use the two-finger sweep above.
Select one block with a swipe or gather a group with two fingers. Two native editor demos:

Interesting to see Notion apparently moving toward a native editor.
Phrase’s block editor has been native from day one: Swift + UIKit + CoreText + UITextInput.
Cross-block selection, cursor geometry, IME, custom text layout — all native.
More work, but worth it.
Every AI note app gives you a chat box beside your note.
Phrase puts the agent INSIDE it — ask, and the note rewrites itself in front of you. Red out, green in. One tap to undo.
