- Apple expands U.S. manufacturing partnerships with Perryman (titanium for foldable iPhone), Qnity Electronics (camera films), and other suppliers as part of $600 billion, four-year domestic commitment.
- $AVGO investing $1.5 billion in Fort Collins facility to produce 15+ billion U.S.-manufactured chips; $GLW to produce all iPhone/Apple Watch cover glass at Kentucky plant by end of 2026.
- $TSM Arizona fab expected to produce 100+ million chips for Apple in 2026; Amkor breaking ground on Arizona packaging facility with 3,500+ local hires planned.
> Apple's expanded domestic supply chain commitments signal sustained demand for advanced optics ($GLW glass), specialty materials (titanium, camera films), and U.S.-based semiconductor manufacturing ($TSM, $AVGO), reinforcing nearshoring trends in photonics-adjacent components for consumer devices.

Wow. SpaceX $SPCX just delivered impressive earnings.
Revenue +161% YoY.
Adjusted EBITDA +306%.
Net income $4.4B.
But here's the real surprise: AI revenue reached $7.6B, surpassing Starlink.
SpaceX is no longer just a rocket and satellite company.
Elon Musk is building something much bigger.
It doesn't feel like money is leaving the market. It feels like capital is rotating between sectors.
Money flows out of one corner and into another.
A market collapse and sector rotation are two very different things.
The real question is where the money flows next.

Micron announced that it will provide strategic funding for Indium to expand high-purity materials refining and manufacturing in Rome, New York. The companies also plan a long-term supply agreement.
Potential benefits for $MU Micron:
• Improves access to specialized semiconductor materials.
• Reduces exposure to concentrated overseas refining and export restrictions.
• Supports the buildout of Micron’s U.S. memory-manufacturing footprint.
• May reduce supply-chain disruption risk over time.
Market effect:
Strategically positive, but probably limited near-term earnings impact.
It strengthens Micron’s long-term supply security and could modestly improve investor confidence, but it does not change the immediate memory-demand, pricing, or capex outlook.
The initial market reaction also suggests it was not treated as a major standalone catalyst.
$MU indium!!
- $MU invests in Indium Corporation to expand critical minerals processing and high-purity materials refining in Rome, New York.
- Long-term supply agreement secures $MU's access to semiconductor-grade minerals and reduces reliance on concentrated global refining capacity.
- Investment aligns with $MU's July plan to invest up to $3 billion strengthening U.S. semiconductor supply-chain ecosystem and advancing national security priorities.
> $MU's critical minerals sourcing initiative demonstrates growing recognition that advanced semiconductor manufacturing requires backward integration into upstream materials supply to mitigate geopolitical supply risks and support sustained production scaling for AI-driven demand.
so.. what are you buying now, dudes?
I'd add hyperscalers for this shopping time maybe.

down markets are tough for everyone.
I'm still maintaining some of my cash position and managing my portfolio beta.
I haven't started shopping yet.
Just because stocks are cheaper doesn't mean they're cheap enough.
In a downturn, survival comes before returns.
$SIVEF's stock reaction is honestly a bit disappointing.
Its strategic LiDAR customer has finally placed initial production orders. Shipments begin in Q4 2026, with a broader ramp in 2027. The previously announced lifetime revenue opportunity is $53M–$138M.
But the initial order value remains undisclosed, and the program was already announced in March.
Still, the transition from design win to actual production orders is a meaningful milestone.
The market now wants revenue and profitability, not just technological validation.
2027 is shaping up to be a critical year.
- Sivers ($SIVE) received initial production orders from an undisclosed LiDAR customer serving automotive and industrial applications.
- Sivers will supply continuous-wave DFB lasers and optical amplifiers.
- Shipments are scheduled to begin in Q4 2026, with customer programs planned to enter production in 2027.
- The company estimates $53M–$138M in cumulative revenue potential over the product lifecycle; the initial order value was not disclosed.
> The key milestone is a design win converting into actual production orders.
> The $53M–$138M is not firm backlog. Watch how repeat orders and shipment growth translate that potential into revenue.
Tesla Halloween mode 🎃
Always appreciate these little surprises from @elonmusk haha
But I nearly jumped when I parked, got out, and suddenly heard a creepy growl 😂
When AI can ace the SAT, what makes a person smart?
Jensen Huang’s vision combines technical understanding with empathy and the ability to read what goes unsaid.
Watching my wife bring her humanities background into technology, that resonates.
The better AI gets, the more valuable a deep understanding of people may become.

PhotonCap paper-trading update: -12.79% versus SMH’s -13.3%, with a displayed lead of 0.5 percentage points. A small relative lead still leaves a substantial loss.
The account now holds $NVDA, $ASX, $KEYS and $AMD, with 22% in cash. $MTSI is no longer held. All four remaining positions bounced today.
The lesson: position sizing matters as much as stock selection. Several tickers can still represent one concentrated bet on the semiconductor cycle.
It’s still a short paper-trading experiment. I’m reviewing whether exposure was reduced too late and how re-entry rules should work.
Even allowing for the weak market, the bot’s results have been poor. Every holding is underwater, with MTSI down nearly 20% from entry. I’m glad I started with paper trading.
They may recover, but “eventually it goes up” is no way to validate an algorithm. A future rebound wouldn’t automatically justify today’s entries or risk management.
The lesson: relative rankings alone don’t control downside. I’m reviewing exposure reduction and exit rules when the broader market weakens.
This is still a testing phase. I’ll keep sharing the losses, reviewing the decisions, and refining the algorithm.
