NL Hydro has a power warning for Newfoundland, asking people to conserve power to avoid rolling outages. They’re providing an update on problems with power generation in the province during some of the coldest temps of the winter.
They have divers in the water, using compressed air to break the ice loose. “It will be a multi day effort”.

Nordspace just tried another launch from St Lawrence and unfortunately had flames on the launch pad. Appears to be extra propellant that burned off, no larger fire and they’re examining the rocket and the pad now
The fire on the launch pad at Nordspace rocket launch was because of extra propellant (they use oxygen and kerosene) the ratio wasn’t right. It just burned itself off and the company says the rocket is safe.
Currently evaluating whether they can try again during 3-7pm today

All spectators viewing the launch in-person are required to follow NOTAMS and NAVWARNS for air, land and sea, and are encouraged to review the FAQ on the Launch Info page found on our website. The livestream is expected to commence at approximately 06:30 NDT for online viewers, if conditions remain nominal.
Hello from @Nord_Space Atlantic Spaceport in St Lawrence, NL. Waiting for the first commercial rocket launch in Canada. The CEO says the rocket is fuelled, likely 2 hours away from launch
I’m told that the launch window this morning is until noon NL time, so they have just over an hour to complete the launch. If they don’t do it in time they have an afternoon window as well

Humidex 43 in #Twillingate at 2:30 pm makes for highest reliable Humidex value ever officially measured in NL (excluding a couple suspect values in the 1970s in Labrador).
Prev highest reliable: 42 (Terra Nova, Sep 10, 2001).
