⚡️「PRE-IPO RADAR」
1/ @canva is a still-private design platform. Co-founder @cliffobrecht says it is IPO-ready but will wait until 2027 so it can finish shifting from traditional subscriptions to an AI-credits model.
It has hundreds of millions of monthly users and tens of millions of paying users, and has been profitable for years. Valuation marks have moved from around $42B down to the mid-$30B range for some investors amid AI cost pressure. 📈
2/ Founded in 2012–13 in Australia by @MelanieCanva , @cliffobrecht and @themaninblue , Canva made professional design simple for non-designers.
It is now adding generative AI features while trying to bring the cost of those features down so the free-to-paid model stays viable at scale.
3/ The company has redomiciled toward the U.S. and hired public-company talent — classic pre-IPO steps. Obrecht has said he assumes a 2027 listing once the AI business-model transition is “bedded in.”
No public S-1 has been filed. The stated plan is to list next year after the shift is clearer.
If you are new to it: large-scale design tools + AI pivot + deliberate 2027 IPO timing.
📰 Multiple outlets including Reuters, WSJ, and Bloomberg report the target. If achieved, it would rank among the largest IPOs in history.
The latest Bloomberg reporting points to a formal roadshow possibly starting the week of November 9, aiming to list before November 26, while still targeting a public debut before the end of 2026.
📊 Prediction markets continue to strongly favor Anthropic listing before OpenAI, with Polymarket at ~95.3% and Kalshi at ~94%.
These milestones are bringing greater clarity to the value of leading private AI assets.

SpaceX Starship reaches a historic milestone.
On September 28, Starship Flight 14 successfully entered low Earth orbit for the first time and deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites.
Progress continues. @elonmusk said on October 10 that Flight 15 is targeted for the next 4–6 weeks (around mid-November), with plans to attempt the first launch-tower catch of the Ship upper stage — a key step toward full reusability.
At the same time, @SpaceX announced the acquisition of low-band spectrum to advance Starlink Mobile toward becoming a major U.S. mobile carrier. The V3 satellites deployed on Flight 14 are a critical part of this strategy.
These milestones further highlight the value of leading private-market assets. Through Paimon’s Pre-Access SPV on @BNBCHAIN , users can access tokenized exposure on-chain and trade it on @PancakeSwap .

Polymarket CEO @shayne_coplan at Token2049: prediction markets are not another betting app. They are price discovery for risks that never had a price.
"The moment you put a price on a question or a risk that had no price, that price becomes a reference point for much larger financial transactions."
That price, he said, can anchor OTC deals, swaps, and block trades. And what exists today is only the start: "People say Polymarket has succeeded, but I think what has emerged so far is a very small part of what is possible."
No token. No timeline. He said the company is exploring an onchain asset tied to its economy with "real programmable utility," calling it "how the idea of stock should work."
1/ Fidelity’s head of digital asset strategists said at Longitude Singapore on October 8: over the past 18 months, the real institutional move onchain is no longer a pilot.
2/ About $1.2 billion moved onchain in the past 30 days. Securitize just opened trading in a dozen of the most widely held US stocks.
The tokens are security entitlements, not price mirrors.
⚡️「PRE-IPO RADAR」
1/ Databricks is a still-private U.S. data company whose CEO says 2026 is a bad year to go public. The reason is specific: SpaceX and Anthropic are crowding the calendar.
What makes it worth watching is that it did not slow down. In half a year its valuation went from $134 billion to $190 billion, and its revenue run rate hit $7 billion, still accelerating. 📈
It sells the data foundation companies run on. The premium is that AI can use that data directly.
5/ The CEO himself pressed pause on an IPO. Ali Ghodsi said 2026 is crowded with SpaceX and Anthropic, so the earliest window is 2027. No confidential S-1 has been filed. His point was roughly: we do not want to stay private forever, but going public now is too much of a distraction.
February valuation: about $134 billion. In August, Coatue led a $5 billion round at a $190 billion post-money valuation. The company says its revenue run rate is above $7 billion, up more than 80% year over year. In early October, secondary marks were around $217 billion, about $293 a share. One research note says the cash-flow value is closer to $69 billion.
6/ So it looks like a public company, but the stock still trades in private.
If you are new to it, three lines are enough: it sells the corporate data foundation; the premium is that AI can use that data directly; the IPO has been pushed past 2027.
Which part do you want unpacked: how it actually differs from Snowflake, or whether $190 billion is too expensive?
