Starting the year off with some library updates in @figma 🔥
1. There's a new icon to let you know when subscribed styles/instances have changes
2. You can now accept changes for individual instances/layers
3. Also you can now see a before vs after preview before hitting update!

I like this way to show dimension design tokens inside Figma:
• values
• scale
• ratio between each values
The only thing missing is their respective name imo.

Looking at Polaris' search brings back some memories from my work on @OrbitKiwi – this is one of the docs versions that never got implemented/released fully.
Fun fact: Old Orbit docs was running on WordPress. With lots of automation fetching the data from external sources.

It's nicely acknowledging the fact that there are different types of content living in a design systems documentation and each type has different display needs for search results.
🤔 What’s next?
We plan to do a large component audit in following months. Thanks to nested properties (already in beta) we can simplify a lot of our components and improve designers’ experience. Stay tuned for updates! 🙏

✈️ New Itinerary component
The biggest and most complex component we ever made. We really pushed capabilities of Figma to the limits with this one 😅 And it will get even better with new nested properties. Crazy! Check the component in “Helper components” in Native library 🤟
⚠️ Updated Alert design
Alerts play important role in our product. They don’t always bring good news but at least they look good now. 🤷♂️
💡 Pro tip: align icon sizes with line heights
If you want to have multiple icon sizes, it’s always a good idea to match the sizes with your text styles. This makes things visually balanced and much easier for designers to choose the correct size! 🧠
