So, 10 days after Starlink/Starshield was limited over Ukraine, Musk has finally crafted his story and decided to break cover with an emotional explanation. Many will argue it exonerates him, I think it poses more questions than answers. Let’s see what’s missing here. 🧵1/6

You don’t want to hear this but being patient and finding the right trade-UFA-or draft pick that can fill that void is what is necessary at this time. 1C and/or 1D do not grow on trees. A little luck plays a part in it too. Compiling assets for that one opportunity will matter

End of story -- it is vitally and strategically imperative for Europe and the entire free world to take the most decisive steps to accelerate the development of their own alternative to Starlink.
Otherwise, this profoundly hypocritical, infantile, walking embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect, drunk on his own sense of limitless power, impunity, and imagined moral superiority, will bring the entire free world to ruin -- all for the sake of the ketamine-fueled cockroaches in his head.

Washington Is Negotiating a Peace It Cannot Deliver.
For years, you have watched the United States lead attempts to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. But what if the country leading the negotiations is not the one holding the strongest cards?
What if the real opportunity for peace has been sitting somewhere else all along? And what if recognising that could change the future of Russia, Ukraine and Europe?
The answer is considerably more interesting than another meeting with Putin.

BUDANOV SAYS UKRAINE IS DESTROYING SOMETHING PUTIN CANNOT REBUILD: RUSSIA’S REPUTATION 🇺🇦🇷🇺
Kyrylo Budanov believes Ukraine’s campaign against Russia is inflicting damage far beyond destroyed infrastructure and financial losses. It is dismantling the image of a military superpower that Moscow spent decades cultivating.
“Russia is suffering a reputational blow. That is the most important thing. Oil prices may somehow stabilize, the war will end — things will normalize. But the reputational damage will last for a very long time.”
For years, the Kremlin relied on the perception that Russian military power was overwhelming and that its territory was effectively beyond the reach of its adversaries.
Ukraine has challenged both assumptions. Russian forces have failed to achieve a decisive victory, while Ukrainian drones have demonstrated that even strategically important facilities deep inside Russia are vulnerable.
Oil infrastructure can be repaired. Markets can recover. Military equipment can eventually be replaced. But restoring the credibility of a military power whose weaknesses have been exposed is a different challenge altogether.
Budanov’s final words leave little doubt about Ukraine’s determination to continue applying pressure.
“We are not stopping.”
For Budanov, the lasting consequence of Russia’s invasion may be the damage Moscow has inflicted on its own image of invincibility.

Apparently, Musk was pressured into making a public statement.
According to him, Ukrainian forces violated Starlink's terms of service by using it for "offensive drone strikes to kill people."
And then, in the very same statement, he claims that Starlink remains critically important for Ukraine's defense.
A routine reminder: when you're defending yourself, you also kill people, even more than during "offensive drone strikes."
In other words, Musk's explanation isn't really an explanation. It's a political statement.
And also an admission: yes, we were the ones imposing the restrictions, and no, it wasn't because Starlink was being used to kill people.

🇺🇦🇷🇺‼️ Russian forces are reportedly concentrating heavy armored vehicles near Dobropillia in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, raising concerns that Moscow is preparing a new wave of large-scale mechanized assaults.
Fighting remains intense along the Dobropillia sector, where Russian troops continue attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian defensive positions and advance along the flanks.
Reports suggest that Russian commanders may be waiting for deteriorating weather conditions, particularly dense fog, before launching major armored attacks. Reduced visibility could complicate Ukrainian drone reconnaissance and targeting, potentially allowing Russian assault formations to approach defensive positions with less warning.
Russian forces are also reportedly suffering substantial casualties during their ongoing infantry assaults, although precise figures remain unverified.
🔥 The reported concentration of armored vehicles suggests that Russia may be preparing to combine its existing infiltration tactics with larger mechanized attacks in an attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses around Dobropillia.
Fog could temporarily reduce the effectiveness of Ukrainian surveillance and FPV drones, but concentrating armor also creates opportunities for Ukrainian artillery, mines and anti-tank units to inflict heavy losses.
The coming days could prove important for this sector, particularly if worsening weather coincides with a renewed Russian offensive.

Denis Villeneuve’s take on Bond 26 won't be a rookie origin story. He's planning a radical reinvention.
Instead of a fresh-faced novice learning the basics, we will get a mature operative with a deeply explored military history.
This approach lets Villeneuve ground the character in modern realism while preserving Bond's dangerous, lethal edge.

I am always against monkeying around with the Constitution, but if Trump does this and links it to policy areas, then it really is time to change or eliminate the pardon power, which was never supposed to be used as a blanket shield for preventing accountability

What will happen in the Middle East now?
Attacks on Saudi infrastructure until the borders with Pakistan and Iraq are reopened.
Will Trump keep the closure in place and ignore the Houthis’ attacks on Saudi infrastructure? I highly doubt it, but he is testing the feasibility of also isolating Iran by land in the event of a new war. This is temporary.
He is betting on building collaboration from Putin, Xi, the Turks, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Iraq for this possible new scenario.
How long can a blockade like this hold? All of this is being tested right now.
In recent weeks we have been watching the testing of multiple scenarios at varying levels of intensity and fronts.
There is absolutely no certainty at this moment regarding any steps toward war, because the problem of protecting GCC infrastructure remains, and there are people in the White House making money from it.
But for the first time they are building a long term plan.
And why aren’t the previous arrangements prospering? I would say one of the factors is Netanyahu persuading and influencing every move.
Netanyahu’s agenda will not be ignored by this White House administration, and he is seeking the GCC’s sympathy for a much broader coalition against Iran.
So far he has not succeeded, but just as Iran’s hand is in every action of its allies, Netanyahu’s is in every action of Trump.
I will write an article soon addressing all of this in depth.
