Our Minister of State in the race for UN secretary General. Win, and she becomes the first woman in history to lead the UN. The UAE is here to make history..
I am standing to be Secretary-General because I believe this is a moment to act with greater urgency: to act earlier, bring people together across difference, and drive the work forward until it produces concrete results. That is how we rebuild trust in the United Nations and ensure it delivers meaningful change for the people it exists to serve.

A big shout-out to @GujaratPolice for ensuring complete safety over the last 9 nights, while respecting everyone's faith and celebrating alongside citizens. Kudos to @AhmedabadPolice for managing traffic round the clock. 🙏
26 November 2008 remains an unforgettable chapter in my life.
During the Mumbai bomb blasts, I tried to help as many people as I could, becoming one of the most active Indians on social media at the time. My activity during those non-stop 60 hours was later quoted as a case study by @dmscott 🙏 (David Meerman Scott), whom I had the privilege of meeting in person in Mumbai, in his book Real-Time Marketing & PR.

Durga Puja vs Navratri. Two festivals, two different spirits!
Durga Puja is about culture and celebration. Navratri, in many parts of India, centres more on religious observance and devotion.
In Bengal, Durga is the daughter returning home. She arrives for her annual autumn visit with her children. There is an intimacy and affection that makes her feel like family.
Feasting vs fasting. While many observe fasts during Navratri, Bengalis celebrate Pujo with elaborate feasts, from bhog to biryani!
Art takes centre stage. Durga Puja transforms Kolkata into an extraordinary showcase of idols, pandals, lights, music, theatre and creative expression.
Celebration without boundaries. Durga Puja brings people across communities and religions together. Its spirit is as much about shared culture as faith.
Different traditions, one India. Navratri celebrates the divine feminine through its own rich rituals, music and dance, while Bengal gives Durga Puja its distinctive blend of family, art, food and festivity. Both reflect the extraordinary diversity of India, where the same divine feminine inspires different traditions and celebrations.
Happy Durga Puja and a very Happy Navratri to everyone! May the festive season bring joy, harmony and happiness into every home.
