I challenge you to consume as much Nebraska as you possibly can. Food, drink, culture, music, places, products, art. We have so much to offer. – at Nebraska, USA

I’ll never understand how people wake up every day, drive to a job they hate, save all this money just to retire after 50 years and maybe have a good 5 to 10 years to enjoy it before they die. Does that sound like Freedom to you? Sounds like slavery to me. The system is corrupt and the government has you fooled

The older I get, the more I realize, I don’t want a busy life. I want a deep life. Slow mornings. Focused work. Calm people. Meaningful progress. Good books. A quiet mind at night. Nothing flashy. Nothing trendy. Just a life that feels good to live. Depth over noise. That'll do.

It sure would be great if Christian influencers were influenced by Jesus.

Talk to strangers! Met a former UCSB Gaucho on my flight to Sactown—he teaches English in Santiago, Chile. Great two-hour chat on music, politics, teaching, Doug McDermott (yes, he’s a fan!), and international living. His family heads to Thailand soon. Glad our paths crossed!

Omaha. Yesterday ran into a good friend and his daughter at Gene Leahy Mall. Today caught up with a high school pal at Epply. THIS is what makes Nebraska special and why I LOVE living here.
