NEVER. GIVE. UP!! What a win #ValleyInMotion
Houston, we handled the problem. 😈🚀
Valley walks into Texas Southern’s house and leaves with the win, 38-34.
MVSU improves to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in SWAC play.
Thanks for the hospitality, Houston. We’ll take the W to-go. 🧳✅

Mississippi Valley State forward Qingfang Pang was detained by ICE last week and is currently in custody.
He is the third known CBB player in ICE custody.

Descriptions of the conditions Qingfang Pang is currently enduring at Richwood Correctional Center, a For-profit 💰 detention center, since September 29th. #FreePang
“Richwood, I think, is the worst of the worst.” - Vincent Rivas Flores (Immigration Attorney)
“Detainees often were served inadequate food, sometimes containing cockroaches, and described mistreatment and belittlement by guards.”
Recent Citations in DOH Inspection:
- Stained and moldy showers & toilets
- Multiple detainees said that small insects emerge from cracks in the shower walls
- Units had poor ventilation & were too cold
- Water sometimes rained from the ceiling
- Rusted storage drawers and support frames on bunks
- Detainee showers in two of four housing units visited were Unclean and had low water pressure when multiple showers were in use
- Showers had blackened tile grout and other stained areas
- Laundry returns from the wash with rust stains, burn marks, and a foul odor.
- Richwood treated all medical requests as “sick call” and did not allow detainees to file medical grievances.
- Richwood placed restrictions on legal calls without justification.

As we celebrate Kentucky State women’s basketball player Amina Seck’s release from ICE custody, another HBCU athlete, Quinfang Pang, has recently been detained.
I spoke with his teammates at media day just yesterday, and they were so excited about his return to MVSU.
Let’s continue sharing Quinfang’s story and hope for a swift resolution to the paperwork and visa issues that will hopefully lead to his release.
Tough news. Quinfang Pang of Mississippi Valley State is being detained by ICE regarding paperwork questions.

What ICE has done to our aspirational 21-year-old Chinese student Qingfang Pang is unjust and counter to what the United States is meant to embody. A man, who had lived in the U.S. legally for 4 years on his way to renew his VISA, detained as a criminal. c.org/tKYdrs7NzV
Please sign and share this petition. Pang's story is just one of many for aspirational immigrants being wrongfully detained and intimidated by ICE and this hostile Government Regime. Stand with us and with Pang.
