We have to delete the original post since it is hard for @MobilePunch and others could not focus on our main Opinion post. We want everyone rather to focus on the video, not the picture that Punch labelled fake. That image had already enjoyed widespread circulation before we added it to accompany the video. While we are not excusing the sharing of the image, we will equally insist that nobody should allow the side attraction to distract from the main event. Meanwhile, why are major newspapers and television stations, including @ARISEtv , circulating reports that @PeterObi or his campaign was attacked in Calabar with no evidence? That's the real story deserving attention, not an image that has suddenly become the celebrity of the day! And why are some major presidential candidates apparently finding alleged attack stories more useful than conventional campaign strategies? Is manufacturing sympathy the new political manifesto? A trend apparently borrowed from a presidential candidate in a major country somewhere in the world. At this rate, we may soon need an election debate moderated by Nollywood!
