A really nice beta reader response today. Lately, I had been ghosted or told off after reviewing a draft. But this person even offered to put me in their final book with a little thank you and shout out.

Outside of Japan, most of Yoji Yamada's work is sadly not well-known. At 94, he's the oldest working director in Japan.
The Yellow Handkerchief is my favorite film of his. It features an amazing performance by Ken Takakura and that ending is enough to make grown men cry.
