Official publication day for ‘The Walls’ yesterday
Loved working with James on this because of his willingness to open the doors to his home & to his mind
There’s so much more to his story than the social media snaps and I’m grateful he trusted me to help him tell it
Today’s @IndoSport pod features a discussion on the process of ghostwriting a book and a reflection on the 2026 League of Ireland season

‘I felt like telling him to f**k off’ - Stephen Bradley on a conversation with CEO Robbie Hedderman on the flight from Finland that helped get his focus back
More here from Bradley on criticism, his own tiredness and what comes next

Video review on the night that the title race was decided. Shamrock Rovers shine again as the lights go out at Dalymount (they went out in Tallaght mid-recording too)

On marathon weekend in Dublin, the team with greater staying power than the rest is crowned champions for the sixth time in seven seasons
Piece from Tallaght

Celebrations beginning on the Rovers bench before the full time whistle as they receive confirmation
Champions for the sixth time in seven years and with a game to spare. They pulled it out when they needed to at the key moments.
Sligo Rovers have wilted as Shamrock Rovers go 4-0 up and look set to be crowned champions tonight unless Bohs do something late.
Nice moment as Gary O'Neill is introduced as a sub, a year to the day that he was diagnosed with cancer. Could now be on pitch for the big moment.
A half time farewell and presentation in Tallaght for Arsenal bound Victor Ozhianvuna. They’ve missed him since his injury which has been managed carefully based on advice from London. He formally completes his move in January.
Two goals in two minutes from Adam Brennan and Shamrock Rovers are fully in control after some nervy moments in the opening 37 mins The first was scrappy after a Dylan Watts shot broke his way but Rovers loosened up from the restart and brilliant Burke assist for Brennan to score
Sligo Rovers waste a golden opportunity to go ahead in Tallaght - a Shorrock cross falls to Woolery who can't set himself and then scuffs a right footer wide of open goal. A nervy few mins for hosts after a dominant start

The Walls by James McClean (with @McDonnellDan ) is a powerful book. It's a must-read to have any chance to try and understand the point he is at in his life now. The other voices that add so much to the book also show the kind of support he has/needs.

FAI confirm Dawson Devoy out for final 2 games of Bohs season for red card in scrap after Rovers game. Razi & O'Donnell get the same ban.
Noonan reduced by one after Rovers produced video evidence.
Danny Grant (not in squad) gets 4 for violent conduct - grabbing around neck
PFAI votes discussed ….four Saints in TOTY and Dawson Devoy is only Bohs rep (but misses out on POTY shortlist)
Few other talking points to get through as well..

Moylan now scoring goals in the Championship at a similar rate to his last days at Shels where he looked like scoring in every single game (was a false nine for a spell then too)
His late blooming profile is going to open even more doors for him.
Good day for the recent LOI graduates - Gbemi Arubi's first goal in English football was a special one. Arubi's league debut was replacing Moylan late in a Shels game in 2023 but like Moylan he needed to take a step back in LOI to make two leaps forward
