During the official visit to Greece by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Masdar and Khazna Data Centers signed an MoU to advance green data center development in Greece, combining Khazna’s data center development and operational capabilities with Masdar’s renewable energy and energy storage expertise.
The partnership will explore dedicated clean power and storage solutions to support Greece’s growing digital infrastructure needs, creating significant opportunities for investment, economic growth and energy security.

During the official visit to Greece by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Masdar announced that it is expanding its presence in the country through the acquisition of one of Greece’s largest solar projects.
The 550+MW project will generate enough electricity to power more than 200,000 homes a year. We also plan to enhance the project with battery storage, supporting a more flexible and resilient power system.
As electricity demand rises across Europe, driven by economic growth, electrification and expanding digital infrastructure, projects like this will play an increasingly important role in delivering affordable, reliable clean power.

خلال الزيارة الرسمية لسمو الشيخ خالد بن محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، ولي عهد أبوظبي، إلى اليونان، أعلنت "مصدر" عن توسيع محفظة مشاريعها في اليونان من خلال الاستحواذ على أحد أكبر مشاريع الطاقة الشمسية في البلاد.
تتجاوز قدرة المشروع 550 ميغاواط، وسينتج كهرباء تكفي لتلبية احتياجات أكثر من 200 ألف منزل سنوياً. وتخطط "مصدر" لإضافة نظام بطاريات لتخزين الطاقة إلى المشروع، بما يتيح مرونة أكبر في إمدادات الكهرباء ويدعم استقرار الشبكة.
ومع تزايد الطلب على الكهرباء في أوروبا نتيجة النمو الاقتصادي والتوسع في استخدام الكهرباء وتنامي البنية التحتية الرقمية، تزداد أهمية هذه المشاريع لتوفير طاقة نظيفة وموثوقة وبتكلفة مناسبة.

At the UAE-Greece Strategic Forum in Athens, held during the visit to Greece by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, we were honored by the Greek Prime Minister’s recognition of Masdar as a key investment partner in Greece.
As the UAE and Greece mark five decades of diplomatic relations, clean energy is playing an increasingly important role in strengthening economic ties, energy security and shared prosperity.
Our CEO, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi also met with Stavros Papastavrou, Greece’s Minister of Environment and Energy, alongside Husain Al Meer, Executive Director, Global Offshore Wind and UK, and Aristotelis Chantavas, CEO of TERNA ENERGY, to discuss how we can deepen our cooperation and support the country’s energy ambitions.
Greece is central to Masdar’s European growth strategy. Through TERNA ENERGY, we are combining local expertise with our global capabilities to deliver affordable, reliable clean power and build a leading renewable energy platform across Eastern Europe.
