I was really excited to see that Season 2 of The Devil's Hour was out, but got a few minutes in and realized I needed to rewatch Season 1 to remember enough to have the vaguest idea what's going on. Almost through it. So worth it. Peter Capaldi is so good.

14 is now 15! And we finally got the stuff to preserve his fossil finds from the Wheeler County HS fossil beds. These are metasequoia fossils from the Bridge Creek Flora in the Oligocene - about 33 million years ago.
14 has been taking a blacksmithing class through 4-H this week, and I am absolutely in love with his final project from the class.
14 is spending his last few precious days of summer doing what young nerds do: setting up a Raspberry Pi to play Doom.
Gave 14 one his birthday presents - a toasted sandwich maker - a few weeks early so that he could enjoy it before school starts. Now realizing I will need to adjust the bread & cheese budgets accordingly. What are your fave toasted sandwich fillings, Twitter friends?
YES. That change is painful, and clunky, and bad. I’m more concerned though about the changes they made to discussion boards. I spend so much time trying to build community in my large classes and those changes are going to make it so much harder.
