Tesla's inflated valuation ran out of hype five years ago and it's been circling the drain ever since.
Five years ago, you could have put $150k into $TSLA or an index fund, or stuffed it under your mattress.
After inflation, that $150k is now worth:
S&P 500: $193k
Mattress: $124k
Tesla: $104k
Grandma's S&P 500 index fund is up almost 29% after inflation. Even grandpa's mattress beat @ElonMusk.
In an AI-fueled bull market, $TSLA lost to Walmart, Costco, Philip Morris, Exxon, the New York Times, and literal garbage collectors.
Musk cashed out ~$40 billion of Tesla stock. His shareholders were left holding the bag: a stock down 15% in five years, a shrinking and aging lineup, 2% global market share, "Full Self-Driving" that still needs a babysitter, and robots that can barely stand up.
Tesla has been dead money for five years.

SpaceX will attempt to catch both the Super Heavy booster and Starship on the upcoming flight.

My Model YL ordered October 5 was pushed back to April 2 at the latest. High demand and possible parts/supplier issues, from what I’ve read. Not mad—happy to wait. Just sharing my experience.
Heads up, Tesla owners: the Wheel & Tire Protection Plan just went from $16 to $24/month, a 50% jump, for payments on or after Oct 1.
Tesla is refunding the $8 difference on the last payment, and the new rate starts next billing cycle.
You can manage or cancel it in the Tesla app under Upgrades, Software Upgrades, then Manage.

Tesla Robotaxi is expanding to Fort Worth, TX. Rides start Nov 2 at 6 AM, per @robotaxi, which also shared the launch geofence map.
Texas now has 1,244 registered Tesla robotaxis.
