The Trump Administration is once again prioritizing the profits of oil and gas polluters over the health of environmental justice communities.
Rolling back key methane standards means oil and gas companies will be able to make our communities sicker and our planet hotter with little accountability.
Polluters must be held accountable for the harmful toxins they are releasing into environmental justice communities – and that's why we need to PASS my Methane Pollution Accountability Act.
Breaking News: The Trump administration is set to relax rules restricting the emission of methane, a gas considered to be a “super pollutant.” nyti.ms/3WP2qaG

California is taking action to protect countertop workers from deadly silicosis. I am proud to have worked on this bill when I was an Assemblymember to protect California workers exposed to silica dust.
With hundreds of California workers diagnosed with silicosis and lives lost to this preventable disease, we cannot afford to wait.
We need a national standard that puts workers’ health first and protects families from silicosis. Every worker deserves a safe workplace and the chance to go home healthy.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
I will not be silenced.

This is how Republicans choose to govern. By letting Americans get sick.

The Trump Administration is spending $950 MILLION to buy ICE detention centers in California, including Adelanto.
Let's be clear: This is a move by the Trump Administration to hide from any accountability and oversight from California while ICE continues to inflict harm on our most vulnerable.
ICE must held accountable for the inhumane conditions detainees are experiencing at Adelanto and across the country.

The Trump Administration has kicked EVEN MORE Americans off their healthcare.
They don't care whether you get sick or sink into medical debt.

🚨BREAKING🚨
AP just learned that ICE is erasing detainees from their system – making it harder for families to find their loved ones and for attorneys to reach their clients.
This is what cruelty from the Trump Administration looks like.
Families deserve answers, detainees deserve due process, and ICE must be abolished – it is broken beyond repair.

California has a proud history of holding polluters accountable for the public health harms they are causing to environmental justice communities.
Republicans are proposing a resolution that would rescind some of California's key environmental standards so polluters can take advantage of working families.
I joined @EnergyCommerce in urging our colleagues to vote NO on Republicans' resolution that will make Americans sicker and poorer.

Residents across the Valley rely on Metro buses to go to school, commute to work, and go grocery shopping. The weather should not impact how riders get to these resources.
I secured $660,000 in federal funding for L.A. Metro’s Regional Bus Stop Enhancement Program. This funding will help improve safety, accessibility, and riders’ experience.
I’m excited to continue to work with Metro and advocate for key transportation infrastructure upgrades that will connect our communities and improve opportunities for the San Fernando Valley.

The Trump Administration has yet to provide an update on TPS for El Salvador - leaving thousands of Salvadoran TPS holders across Los Angeles and the country in limbo.
TPS holders are deeply woven into the fabric of our community.
Salvadoran immigrants and their families in the San Fernando Valley have strengthened the foundations of our community as small business owners, students, construction workers, caregivers, healthcare workers, and teachers.
TPS for El Salvador must be extended.
