An event like this is only possible thanks to a vision sustained over time. For more than 50 years, alongside @LP__Fundacion we have continued to promote spaces for dialogue, knowledge and exchange, connecting specialists from around the world around one shared goal: to know in order to protect.

Our thanks also go to @gobcanapp , @CabildoTenerife and @puertodelacruz for their support of this edition.
Because congresses come to an end, but the ideas, connections and knowledge created within them continue to grow long afterwards. 💚
We meet again in 2030. See you soon!

Yesterday we celebrated 89 years of a life dedicated to nature and the #CanaryIslands 🎂
Wolfgang Kiessling, Founder and President of the Loro Parque Group, turned 89, and we had the pleasure of sharing this very special day with him.
It was an occasion to celebrate the man whose passion, vision and determination turned a dream in Tenerife into something far bigger. What began in 1972 as a small park dedicated to parrots has grown over more than five decades into an organisation spanning tourism, #research, education and #conservation.

At the heart of that journey has always been a belief that caring for animals, advancing scientific knowledge and protecting the natural world must go hand in hand.
That vision continues today through the work of Loro Parque, our teams across the Canary Islands and @LP__Fundacion , supporting conservation projects around the world. It is a journey shaped not only by Wolfgang’s vision, but also by the many people who have believed in it and continue to bring it to life every day.
Happy 89th birthday, Wolfgang! 🎉🦜💚
