On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the #LACoFD and @LACoFireMuseum held a Flag Ceremony at FS 127 for our dear friend Randolph ‘Randy’ Mantooth who passed away on July 9, 2026.   Famous for playing Johnny Gage on Emergency!, Randy brought Squad 51 into millions of homes. His television seriespopularized the modern paramedic and EMS systems we rely on today.   Randy was also a fierce advocate for firefighter health and safety, representing both the IAFF and the IAFC, and speaking at safety conferences nationwide.   Randy was a faithful supporter of our Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Museum.   He is greatly missed but his legacy will forever live on in our hearts and in the lifesaving programs he championed. 📸 Doug Morrison, LACoFD Photographer
