Our members are fighting to protect the rights of intersex people by working to enshrine the #EqualityAct into law—because there won't be full equality for our community without full equality for intersex people. #IntersexDayofSolidarity

This week, voters chose love over hate, and they did it with a clear mandate. Now our leaders must honor that choice and get to work!

When Democrats have the power, we have to use it.
Universal childcare. Paid leave. Medicare for All. Abolishing ICE.
No more incrementalism or moderating our aspirations.
We need to do the work of repair, restoration, and reconstruction.

Hillary Clinton on the midterms: “This is a total rebuke of Donald Trump and his cult and the many wrongheaded evil policies that he’s inflicted on us and the world. But it’s also a real tribute to Democratic candidates and the campaigns they ran and how strong they were on the main issues of affordability and corruption. We had to finally lift the poisonous cloud that Trump has put over our heads for the last ten long years, but we also have a new crop of very exciting public servants”

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

Has the change come? Thirty-six years ago, on 3 November 1990, Tracy performed a cover of the song ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ on the Motown 30: What’s Goin’ On special, broadcast on CBS.

Dear Stacey Abrams,
This moment is dedicated to YOU.
Before Keisha Lance Bottoms made history as the first Black woman elected governor in America, you dared to show us that it was possible.
You ran when the road was uncertain. You stood tall when the outcome wasn’t what we’d hoped. And instead of allowing defeat to define your story, you continued the work of making sure our voices were heard.
Your courage, your grace, your commitment to voting rights, and your power to organize helped lay the groundwork for a Georgia that looks different today.
And while we celebrate this historic victory and the wave of change sweeping across the country, we cannot forget the women who helped make moments like this possible.
Stacey, we see you. We thank you. And we give you your flowers.

The Trump Administration attacked Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. They attacked the Voters Rights Act. They attacked the Latino and immigrant communities (not just criminals). The American people last night exercised their right of self determination and voted with their values.
