To all my Musicians (but also applies to content creators, entrepreneurs, etc)…
Things get much more interesting and fun when you figure out something that WORKS.
But before that happens, you’ll be stuck in trial-and-error PURGATORY for a long time, feeling discouraged, confused and probably wanting to quit.
If you make it past that stage, your chances of success go way up.
Some of y’all are thinking about quitting music at 30 because u think u missed your window…
Meanwhile, Artists are just now getting their spotlight in their 30s and 40s, and songs recorded decades ago are finding literally millions of new fans TODAY thanks to TikTok and social media.
You’re not late. We’re in the best era ever for music discovery.
Just got plaques for another 150M streams in the catalog 🙏
I know yall hate and complain about this current era of music and the industry, but it’s fkn cool that there are no rules anymore.
The door has been kicked the fuck down, and it’s wide open for you to walk through it and start making your own path if you’re not afraid of some hard work and patience.
People will see how much $$ streamers make and downplay how insanely difficult it actually is to be in front of an audience 24/7 and entertain them long enough to make this type of 🍞.
There’s a reason why less than 1% succeed at it… can’t even compare it to any 9-5, totally different realm of reality, literally 😂

It’s never too late. Best new artist nominee at 46 years old, and was a research scientist before becoming an Artist.
Inspirational story 👏👏
This story proves that there’s no expiration date on success anymore for musicians in the modern landscape of streaming and social media culture.

(My video kept getting muted when I tried to use the song so I had to take it out)
20’s were my development phase - getting good at music, discovering my sound, developing my taste…
30’s+ is when skills, experience and relationships start to make a material difference.
There’s no more deadlines on success. Anyone at any age can change their life.
The biggest reveal to me that an artist is getting in their own way is how many excuses they have for why they’re “stuck”.
Social media sucks, streaming is robbery, the industry is rigged…
All of that may be true but those aren’t excuses to not do the work. Do the work first and show ppl why none of it got in ur way.
