Jeff Rath just made a remarkable allegation (yes, I know) on CTV this morning. He claims Danielle Smith bought the Wexit Party's contact list during her 2022 UCP leadership campaign and used it to recruit separatists who believed she was secretly one of them. #ableg #abpoli

So, the premier blew $200M of our money on her separatist friends & a propaganda-driven push poll... Now she's blowing more tax dollars on a paid TV address so she doesn't have to answer to any pesky reporters. Danielle Smith: Picking fights & wasting money. #ableg #cdnpoli
Albertans picked up a pencil yesterday and answered ten hard questions about our future. That is democracy at its finest and tonight we talk about what comes next. Join me live on CTV, Global, CityNews, Facebook, X or YouTube at 6:45pm— as we go through the referendum results, what they mean for this province, and what comes next.

We are sending our deepest condolences to the families of the four people killed and dozens more injured at CFB Wainwright. We mourn with the Canadian Armed Forces on this exceptionally sad day, and we honour your service every day. We are so grateful for all of the first responders who are working tirelessly to help. That includes medical staff in Wainwright, Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, and air ambulance crews from STARS. All Albertans and all Canadians stand with the families and loved ones impacted by this devastating incident.

A “unity stop” in Red Deer?! The premier disagrees with the PM on at least 90% of the referendum questions. And her own UCP MLA, from Red Deer, voted to split up Canada. Albertans are smart, premier. They aren’t buying your fake “unity” events. cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/…

Nenshi has lambasted Smith for not following through on her promise to actively campaign for a united Canada. Last week, Nenshi noted that not only are Smith’s cabinet members not getting out the vote, many have left on foreign trips during the critical lead-up to the vote. “They should bloody be knocking on doors. They should be getting out the vote,” Nenshi said. “They’re behaving like separatists.” vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/e…

Nope. It's because the premier's ACTIONS are separatist. - Changing rules to help the separatists - Going to court to help the separatists - Writing the separation question herself - Failing to actually campaign for Canada - Keeping separatists in UCP caucus... #ableg #cdnpoli
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she is frequently mischaracterized by journalists, telling CBC chief correspondent Adrienne Arsenault: “Well, I think I’m mischaracterized a lot by members in your profession.”

We’re rallying votes for 🇨🇦 and working to ensure a fair referendum. But the UCP just couldn’t allow that. They changed the rules (again) and spent your money in court (again) to help the separatists. Now they’re celebrating this with separatists. Albertans deserve better.

Danielle, your own staff failed to disclose to the authorities that the personal information of nearly 3 million Albertans was being illegally shared, including the former premier's home address. You did nothing. We notified the RCMP immediately. You laughed it off repeatedly for months and did nothing to protect people. Now you say that you acted immediately? What a joke. You acted like you always do, only when you think it helps you. Now you're attempting to spin this to suppress get-out-the-vote efforts, making it easier for your separatist friends in this referendum. You continue to put Albertans at risk for the sake of your own political career.
Albertans' personal voter information was allegedly disclosed without authorization by the Alberta Republican Party. The Chief Electoral Officer called publicly for stronger safeguards, and our government acted immediately to suspend distribution of the voters list while the investigations run their course. Shockingly, the Alberta NDP went to court to stop us and keep things as they were. Yesterday, the court ruled against them. This was a shameful display by the NDP. Protecting voter information should be a non-partisan issue and I’m glad that their application was rejected by the courts.

Nenshi had strong words today about Danielle Smith sending MLA's & Ministers on luxurious trips and vacations on the taxpayers dime while the province heads into a referendum. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

Just so we are clear, the UCP's approach to this is highly unusual. Fundamental changes to democratic institutions are not made on the fly in the middle of a campaign, nor without multi-party engagement (often consensus). ctvnews.ca/edmonton/article/…

Now Elon Musk is calling for Alberta to separate from Canada. We don’t need the opinions of any more of Trump’s allies. We already have one as Premier.

At a moment when we need everyone focused on saving Canada, the UCP is letting down Albertans again. The Alberta NDP is putting ALL our focus and resources into saving Canada. What is the UCP doing? Five of their ministers are on taxpayer-funded trips around the globe. I guess, though, if you are a separatist party, you wouldn’t care about saving Canada.

Congratulations to Kyle Campbell, who was officially sworn in as the MLA for Calgary-Shaw today! Kyle is a strong Albertan, a proud Canadian, and an incredible community leader, steeped in service. I’m thrilled to officially welcome him to Alberta’s New Democrat Caucus! Our team is focused on the things that matter most to Albertans: saving Canada, lowering the cost of living, fixing our broken education system, protecting public health care, and building a resilient job-based economy. Kyle is ready to get to work for the people of Calgary-Shaw and help us build a better future for this province. Congratulations, Kyle. Better is possible. The people of Calgary-Shaw proved it and I know you’ll make your neighbours proud as their new MLA!
