It's where the @JSchofieldTrust has really stepped up to the mark to facilitate mentors for new journalists from a wide range of backgrounds because journalist schemes fell by the wayside as the cuts bit into budgets.

It’s an utter privilege to be part of such an impactful thing, thanks Emma and always to @JSchofieldTrust for the work you do.
It's so wonderful when a former @JSchofieldTrust mentee moves on in their career and becomes a mentor in their turn ... a virtuous circle is completed - thank you @naomi_desouza and @stanchers for all you do to help upcoming generations of journalists.

So happy to be a @JSchofieldTrust mentor again, this time for the ace @haleemasaheed 🙌🏾
Great to draw up her goals today for the next year - Haleema has amazing plans. I'll always be so grateful to the scheme for bringing @stanchers into my life - it changed everything 🙌🏾

Fantastic experience shadowing @miketaylorsport and the @sportbbcwm team for this weekend’s West Midlands fixtures!
It marked my first FA Cup game as part of a sports media team. A day I will never forget.
Special thanks to Mike, the @JSchofieldTrust and @LincsJournalism.

Thanks to Cornwall Live for reporting on the first and, I'd imagine, the last time I'll do a journalism event and a D&B night in the same venue all in 3 days! Feb 19 - John Schofield Trust / Feb 21 - Rave Machine. Both at The Cornish Bank in Falmouth. cornwalllive.com/whats-on/tv…

Many thanks to @ThePacket for this article on the @JSchofieldTrust event in Falmouth on Thursday 21 February. Really excited to take part - and I'm delighted that @daniellelowenna is hosting. falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/25…

If you're in Cornwall and interested in journalism, it'd be great to see you at this @JSchofieldTrust event on Feb 19 at The Cornish Bank in Falmouth. Also, in an unlikely bit of scheduling, two days later, I'm back at The Cornish Bank for Rave Machine. So if, like me, you're keen on journalism and D&B, maybe I'll see you twice...
