If you’re on Eglinton Ave West near Dufferin, I recommend checking out Gursha- an Ethiopian restaurant that even gets their gluten-free injera directly from Ethiopia. The food here is amazing and Mahi, the founder and head chef, makes you feel right at home.

I’m very saddened to hear that a traffic agent was tragically killed while serving our city. Our workers care deeply about Toronto, and we need to care about them- everything must be done to ensure that they’ll be safe on the job. My most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the entire @cupelocal79 family.

It’s really wonderful to see such a strong turn out at the polling stations today! Please vote and be part of it. This is our local democracy.

It’s Election Day, Toronto. Please get out and vote!
I love our community. I want Toronto to have better parks and infrastructure, a vibrant local economy and to be safe and affordable. A city that moves, with transit and services we can rely on. A city that works. Please get out and vote on October 26th!

Thanks so much to all of the retirement homes in our community for inviting me to join you! I initiated the Toronto Seniors Strategy to support an age-friendly city. A city that’s safe, caring and accessible to all. Moving forward, my goal is for our neighbourhoods to be planned to provide opportunities for older adults to realistically and successfully age in place.

I’ve always appreciated my friendship with the Timothy Eaton Memorial Church congregation and their commitment to mending the world and awaking community. It was an absolute pleasure to join them at their Fall Fair today.

Toronto’s own Clay and Paper Theatre Company creates magic, and a stage for our imagination. Like every year, it was such a pleasure to join them and the Dufferin Grove community this evening for Night of Dread. They deserve our support.

Etobicoke North would be well served by Ala’a Adib as their local City Councillor. She knows her neighbours, genuinely reflects the community, understands their priorities, and is ready to get results. Ala’a is an inspiring local advocate who already works hard to make Etobicoke North affordable, healthy and safe. It was a pleasure to visit with Ala’a to learn more about what’s important to her community.

I enjoyed an amazing evening with our community in Cedarvale- and a really delicious dinner at Woodlyn’s, a new Jewish-Chinese fusion (yes, Jewish-Chinese fusion!) restaurant that recently opened on Eglinton Ave West. Thanks to Woodlyn’s Jeff Goldstein for your vision, Head Chef Josh Ling for your talent and GM Nick Ben for your hospitality! It’s a really cool new spot to check out. Love that it’s in Cedarvale!
