- Why Humans Still Matter in the Age of AI and Intelligent Machines - Full article live now @Entrepreneur (link below) written by @JonnyCaplan “For all the extraordinary things AI can do, there are some things it simply cannot replicate in the way a human being experiences them. It can analyze emotion, understand language, recognize patterns and produce something that sounds incredibly sensitive, but it doesn’t actually feel anything. It doesn’t know what it is like to walk into a room and instantly sense that something is wrong before anybody has said a word, or to meet somebody for five minutes and have an inexplicable feeling that you should trust them, or perhaps that you absolutely shouldn’t. It can understand the language of emotion, but there is a very important difference between understanding an emotion and actually having one. The same applies to instinct, which I think is one of the most underrated qualities in entrepreneurship. Some of the biggest decisions people make are not based entirely on data, because sometimes you look at something and you simply know that it is right, even though you cannot necessarily explain why. You cannot always put instinct into a spreadsheet or build a model around it, because instinct is often the accumulated result of everything you have experienced, every mistake you have made, every success you have had, every person you have met and every lesson you have learned, including many of the lessons you didn’t even realize you were learning at the time. AI doesn’t have that life experience. It has information, an almost absurd amount of information, and it can process that information at a speed and scale that is extraordinary, but it hasn’t actually lived any of it…” entrepreneur.com/business-ne…

“For much of the last decade, the media industry has been engaged in a relentless race for attention. More platforms. More content. More notifications. More algorithms. More opportunities to consume information at every waking moment. We have created extraordinary access, but also an environment in which almost everything competes for attention and very little is truly understood. The problem is no longer a shortage of content. It is a shortage of meaning. Despite being more digitally connected than ever, many people feel less personally connected. Social media allows us to communicate instantly across continents, yet much of that communication has been reduced to fleeting validation and carefully curated identities. We know what people are doing, where they are travelling and what they have achieved. We do not necessarily know what they have overcome or who they really are. Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, economic volatility, rapid technological disruption and growing social division, audiences are looking for understanding." --- "Artificial intelligence will make meaning more valuable. AI will change how content is researched, created, translated and distributed. It will make production faster and put advanced creative tools in more hands than ever before. It will also flood the world with instantly generated content. That will not make human storytellers less important. It will make them essential.” Excerpts from my latest article now live: @Entrepreneur entrepreneur.com/building-a-…

Whoever said “it’s the thought that counts” was wrong… it’s the effort that counts💥

Just when you thought AI was going to take over, you realised how much it actually needs human direction and assistance.. ☺️

I used to get at least 4 hours sleep, as there were no more team awake worldwide to work with. Now, thanks to AI…who needs sleep!? 🤒🚀☺️ #artificialhabits

Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day. 400 of them are now worth over $100 million. These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries. Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000. Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous." The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before. Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.

So exciting hosting #HadassahDemoDay, in Partnership with @IBM I absolutely love showcasing exciting new technologies, which are set to change the world for the better, and it was a great opportunity to add inspiration with my keynote speech on “Innovating for a Healthier Future”. A big congratulations to the five featured innovative graduates of Class 7 of Hadassah Hospital Program for Startups, the prestigious Health Tech Accelerator, namely: SleepAI presented by Founder Shirel Attia
“SleepAI’s unique sleep apnea diagnostics and treatments, enables full healthcare solutions from home, not at 2 am in a hospital bed. SleepAI is bringing serious AI horsepower to sleep medicine, proving that better sleep diagnostics can be both clinically precise and pajama‑friendly.” Bilieye presented by Founder Chen Binyamin

“Using just a smartphone to help detect newborn jaundice, because nothing says innovation like turning a phone into a neonatal monitoring tool. Bilieye is scaling smarter, gentler care for newborns, they’re helping doctors worry less about blood draws and focus more on healthy babies, and calmer parents.” anydish presented by Founder Orly Rapaport

“Where AI meets food‑as‑medicine, turning clinical nutrition into meals people actually want to eat, focused on personalised solutions for chronic illnesses, anydish is proving that personalized nutrition can be both medically precise and delicious, they’re making sure that ‘doctor’s orders’ finally come with great recipes.” Plectrum presented by Founder Gabriel Lev-Har
“Plectrum is bringing real human touch into digital spaces, because sometimes a video call just isn’t enough… You actually need to feel it. Plectrum is pushing the boundaries of digital health and sensory tech, they’re opening new possibilities for sensory therapy, connection, and care, one smart textile at a time.” SurgiAI presented by Founder Noam Racheli

“SurgiAI, using real-time AI to guide surgeons through shifting tissue, because in surgery, things move… and your navigation system should too. SurgiAI is bringing adaptive intelligence into the operating room. In partnership with Neurosurgeons at Hadassah, they’re helping surgeons operate with more confidence, precision, and fewer surprises.” Many thanks to all the senior Healthcare Professionals & Investors who attended, and the honorary Ambassador to Panama Ezra Cohen Can’t wait to see all these amazing new technologies making waves in the global #healthtech sector! 🚀
