What if the adversity you’re facing isn’t standing in the way of God’s plan, but is actually part of it?
The setbacks. The betrayal. The doors that close. Sometimes those are the very things God uses to move us where we’re meant to go.
Adversity isn’t always the end of the story. Sometimes, it’s a partner in our growth.
Trust what God can do with what you’re walking through.

Transformation doesn’t happen in a moment. It happens through time spent in His presence.
Through prayer. Through surrender. Through trusting Him again and again.
Romans 12:2 reminds us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
The more time we spend with God, the more He can renew what’s within us.
Prayer doesn’t just change our circumstances. It changes us.

You don’t overcome uncertainty by knowing what happens next. You overcome uncertainty by knowing who you are and how you’re going to show up no matter what happens next.

Negativity doesn’t stay with one person. It spreads.
And what we allow, we encourage.
If someone is draining the energy of your team, don’t ignore it.
Confront them. Coach them. Love them. Give them the opportunity to change.
But if they refuse to change, you have to protect the team and the mission.
Great leaders don’t avoid the hard conversations.
They have them because they care enough about their people to protect the culture they’re building.

After speaking to the Atlanta Falcons at training camp, I headed to the airport with an idea that became Training Camp.
I studied what the best do differently and found 11 characteristics they shared. Athletes, doctors, nurses, teachers. Different professions, similar habits.
Have you read the book? Let me know in the comments if you have.
We often put high school coaches on a lower rung than college or professional coaches, but I guarantee every college and pro coach will gain wisdom and get better from listening to Coach Dwight Lundeen and his lessons from 57 years of building a winning transformational program. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

I wish someone would have told me to love the battle when I was a three-year starter in college but fear and worry kept me from enjoying the game.
Now I teach what I needed to hear then: love competing. Love the moment. Love the opportunity. Love the battle.
The more you focus on love, fear fades away.
Try it and pass it on to someone who is letting fear win.
Thanks to @PatMcAfeeShow for having me on and letting me share.

The more you pray the greater your capacity to lead and overcome challenges. A praying leader is a more positive and effective leader.

Negativity that goes unaddressed doesn’t go away. It grows.
One person can’t make a team, but one person can break a team.
That’s why great teams have the difficult conversations. They address the elephants in the room. They tell the truth. They don’t allow negativity to sabotage the mission.
The goal isn’t to get rid of people who are struggling.
It’s to transform the energy.
Energy vampires welcome. Expect to be transformed.
