Despite getting a call from the Chronicle asking if I am running for Supervisor, they didn’t publish it. I want to be crystal clear so my thoughts are below: sfchronicle.com/sf/article/m…

If you haven’t been paying attention, I highly suggest you start.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Salute to my bros on not just pushing the brands for the culture but for holding down space on 2.4 in the Latino Cultural District. Having your own business isn’t easy, respect to those that do. To many more years ma brudahs 🤟🏽

Oh cool. Have they tabulated the cost of perpetual wars, corporate subsidies, bank bailouts, tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, mass incarceration, a healthcare system that costs more per person than any other wealthy country in the world 1/2
JUST IN: Cato Institute estimates democratic socialist policies could cost roughly $200,000,000,000,000.00 by 2036.

AND, not to forget, the near-automatic billions in military funding we send Israel? Sealed, signed, and delivered by the “fiscally responsible” free-market Right (whose people produced this same estimate, btw).

They blamed one of the few things that ensures working people actually benefit when market-rate housing gets built. In that piece I also criticized the timing of this decision, because anybody with a pulse, who follows the market, could see where things were headed.

While this investment is toward a (solid) development, it’s also a signal. One of the largest banks in America is making a bold bet on San Francisco’s real estate future.

As the money pours in and new developments go up, we will now have less affordable housing and less leverage to negotiate community benefits for everyday San Franciscans.

Nothing says master negotiation, like telling the world talks are going great with Iran, and moments later being caught off guard by military strikes. Art of the deal baby! 10/10 negotiating #MAGA axios.com/2026/07/28/iran-mi…

MAGA!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
$1.05 TRILLION has been wiped out from US stocks in the last 2 hours after Iran said it is not holding any peace talks with the US.

#ZuffaBoxing is starting to build some real momentum and put on quality fights. Say what you want about Power Slap, but I wouldn’t bet against Danas vision for what he’s building for boxing (and fans as a byproduct). Whether that’s ultimately good for fighters is another debate.

#MAGA killing it! 🔥🥴

.......so the US killed those school children on purpose?!?
The War Department doesn't miss. 🇺🇸

But what today’s signed legislation unquestionably does is reduce the public benefit while increasing the private benefit. It asks the public to give up permanently affordable homes today in exchange for the promise of more market-rate housing tomorrow.

That’s a policy choice. And I don’t think working families should be the ones asked to make that concession.
