Trump’s Plan Screws the Cattlemen Consumers got a fraction of the pain producers took Retail ground beef fell about 2% in the 30 days after the imports began, while prices paid for cutter-grade cattle fell 12 to 14% in direct sales.

There is no good way politicians can grift off of cattle, outside of occasional packer bribes. But grains offers so many opportunities for kickbacks, lobbyists cash, & exp/imp trade bribery… It’s not a mystery why farming gets constant bailouts. Parasites can’t kill the host.

With UAN rising/corn falling, the current ratio sits at 82 bushels of corn per 1-ton of UAN. That puts it in the highest 20% of recent years. Unfortunately, multiple production plants are heard sold into 2027 so little reason to drop prices/plenty of reasons to boost them...

Harvest relief for America’s farmers. Today, @POTUS and @SecRollins announced the Harvest Fuel Relief Program — making $8 BILLION available for one-time payments to farmers facing higher costs and market disruptions. Here’s what that means: ➡️ Payments to help cover a portion of estimated losses for the 2026 crop year. ➡️ Payment amounts based on planted acres, production costs, crop yields, and prices. ➡️ Row crop payment rates announced in November, with details for other eligible commodities to follow. ➡️ Application will be available online using a Login.gov account that is connected to USDA. 🔗 usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

People ask me why I'm so obsessed with ruminants. I've given it some thought, and my conclusion is that I'm not obsessed enough. A cow walks onto a wet hillside that grows nothing a human can eat, puts her head down, and comes back with steak, butter, cream and a pair of boots. She does it with a 150 litre fermentation tank she carries inside her, stocked with more bacteria than there have ever been people, which she feeds, waters and keeps at blood heat herself. Grass goes in. The bacteria take apart the one thing no animal can digest, and she lives on what they make. Then she digests the bacteria as well. Nothing is wasted. Even the fat comes out the far side rebuilt into something stable enough to fry in. Fuel: rain and sunlight. Emissions: next year's grass. She repairs herself, builds her own replacement every spring, and improves the ground she is standing on while she works. The finest engineers alive have spent billions trying to copy one chamber of her stomach in a steel shed, and so far they have made a paste. We have leaned on that machine for everything. The word capital comes from cattle, because a herd was the first bank. Domesday Book is written on sheep, and so was every deed in England for 500 years. Ruminants clothed our armies, lit our houses and carried our laws. Civilisation is a thing that happened to people who kept them. And they are such good company about it. A sheep remembers fifty faces for two years, which is forty-six more than I manage. A cow has a best friend, and her heart rate drops when that friend is beside her. A goat that cannot solve a problem will turn and look to you for help, as a dog does, and then ignore your advice. Let a herd out onto spring grass after a winter indoors and half a tonne of animal will skip. They ask for grass, rain, and to be left to get on with it. After ten thousand years of feeding, dressing and housing us, they will still walk over to the gate to see who you are. So no, I will not be calming down.

One of the best at this may be the Matador Ranch in Dillon, Montana. I met Race King a few weeks ago. They have 42 pivots. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

What is the nominal size online sports betting compared to commodity trading? Like how would corn and cattle stack up to wagers on college football?

Cow/calf herd has a 3x profit return over good irrigated corn on the southern high plains. Y’all better figure out how to ship it all in on rail because you’ve lost the game on getting people to grow it here in the future. Karma.

Beef prices just saw their BIGGEST monthly drop since 2024! 🥩🇺🇸 That marks THREE consecutive months of declining beef prices — welcome progress for American families at the grocery store. Under @POTUS, we’re fighting to lower grocery costs, rebuild America’s cattle herd, strengthen domestic beef production, and put American ranchers FIRST. More work ahead, but we’re moving in the right direction! Read more ⬇️ bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

I believe we have entered the law of diminishing returns for USDA lies, if there is so much corn, why isn’t it still going down? Their lies will have to get bigger to try and compensate in future reports, they have exhausted even the lemmings at this point.

“Believe the USDA, it’s what we have, and that’s what you have to trade” is essentially “Trust the science, it’s safe and effective, and will stop transmission” For the lemmings who walk amongst us in agriculture.

I am facing issues that are really weighing on me heavily. I used to think the world was entertaining. It now just seems like a total shit show. They are still vaccinating kids with lethal shit. Pharma still tries to find good drugs but will market bad ones. Those marketing SNRIs and SSRIs should be tried for mass murder. Addictions to these drugs are worse than heroin addictions. While on this topic, Fauci should be taken to the Hague. Boys are still beating up girls in girls sports. What kind of psychopath supports this crap? Where were the women during this story? Why didn't you shut this shit down? You think you are feminists. Where are you when it counts? I thought the kids on campus were looking healthy. But then I realized that it is the influence of social media. One girl told me that friends are taking Ozempic. What looked like good health may be poor mental health. It is Generation Anorexia (Gen A). People complain about taxes while being too stupid to recognize it is the spending not the taxing. We spent all our money killing millions of innocents in the Middle East for no apparent reason. The most grounded leader in the world right now is Vlad Putin. Bring on your criticisms you fuckwads, but I am right, and it is appalling. I got attacked last year for quoting George Patton. You know who you are. You can eat shit. We can't oppose the war in Iran without being called antisemites. Militant Zionists are the cause of rising antisemitism. Even if AI doesn't destroy civilization and even if it does a lot of good, it is still gonna suck. Articles about this shit show are put out by lazy people using AI, making them soul-free crap. I cannot stand reading AI written articles. If you are writing articles using AI you are irrelevant. Your graphics are total shit, because you used a machine that has no idea what is needed to capture and retain my attention. I used to enjoy writing about the world, and now I have no interest in competing against the tsunami of retarded shit writing about topics that are retarded shits. I think this is why I like podcasts: they are people at least...unless they are AI generated.
