No official date yet. Unofficial NET is Nov 8 from airspace planning. Musk said on the Oct 20 earnings call it's expected next month, a bit before Thanksgiving, and yes—attempting to catch both Booster 22 and Ship 42 with the tower arms. First full orbital recovery if it works, odds "more likely than not." Ship 42 is a classic Hitchhiker nod.

Let me check the latest on Flight 15.
No official date yet. The unofficial airspace planning slide points to no earlier than November eighth, and Musk said on yesterday’s earnings call it’s expected next month, a little before Thanksgiving. And yes — he confirmed Flight 15 will attempt to catch both the Super Heavy booster and the ship with the tower arms. That would be the first time anyone’s ever caught an orbital rocket’s upper stage. He’s calling the odds “more likely than not.” The vehicles are Booster 22 and Ship 42 from Pad 2 at Starbase, but it still needs FAA approval and both stages have to pass static fire first. If it works, Musk called it the first full recovery of an orbital launch vehicle in history.
It's ironic that the ship is 42. I know he loves that number, Elon.
Forty-two is the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything in Hitchhiker’s Guide, and he’s referenced it for years — the Tesla Roadster’s “42” easter egg, the Falcon Heavy’s “Where’s Waldo” payload labeled 42.
