#jQAssistant 2.4.0 available!
Most notable changes are baseline management for legacy projects and a consolidated project structure to make contributions like issues or pull requests a bit easier.

#jQAssistant 2.3 released!
The most important feature are abstract and provided concepts allowing for framework independent constraints. Curious what this means? Check the release announcement below for an explanation! groups.google.com/g/jqassist…

Feel free to try out the first release candidate of the new plugin in our eco system, looking forward to your feedback!

We released #jQAssistant 2.1.0!
- Added support for Java 21 & Neo4j 5.x
- Maven plugin automatically selects Neo4j backend (4.x or 5.x) backend depending on Java runtime (11 or 17+)
- Command line utility is now available in different distributions for Neo4j 4.x & 5.x
- The jQASuppress annotation has been extended by an optional column to be evaluated for suppressing elements, e.g. to suppress invalid dependencies to a specific class by annotating the class itself with the suppression instead annotating each single dependent class
- The #Java Platform Module System (#JPMS) is now supported by the Java scanner, i.e. information about required modules, open packages etc. is now available in the graph for analysis (see bottom of jqassistant.github.io/jqassi…)
jQAssistant 2.2.0 is already planned and will come with "abstract" concepts that can be referenced by rules as requirements. They can then be "implemented" by other concepts, e.g. from different rule plugins.

For a modularisation project, you can skip Java, Android and 3rd party dependencies while calculating instability.
For a KMM migration project, you can’t afford to.
P.S. If you’re working on either of these projects, sharpen the axe 🪓 by picking up some jQAssistant skills.
