After working with businesspeople around the world, I have found that you CAN help someone develop networking skills.
However, you cannot change or control their attitude.

Your next BNI visitor may already be talking to you.
My guest, Amy Kritzman, shares a simple approach to inviting: stop asking, “Who do I know?” and start asking, “Who is already talking to me?”
Sometimes, all we have to do is listen for the opportunity. tinyurl.com/ybk67kps

Can someone network too much?
The answer in my blog just might surprise you.
Remember that activity is NOT an accomplishment.
You need to build both Visibility & Credibility to get results from your business networking efforts. What are your thoughts

Successful Networking Begins with Relationships
After you meet people, get to know them. Listen to what matters to them, look for ways to help, and give the relationship time to grow.

Sometimes the biggest obstacle to results isn’t the strategy. It is our willingness to change.
Are we rejecting an idea because the evidence says it won’t work, or because trying it requires us to do something differently? tinyurl.com/45uh78fj
BNI Executive Director Training in Monaco
I attended the ED Training yesterday at the Convention center. They had fantastic questions for me. I love what I do for a living (I mean life).

Contacts are valuable, and your relationships are currency.
It’s how well you know each other that counts, not how many contacts you have.
The ones that you turn into lasting relationships make a difference. Create strong relationships for networking success.
The #1 reason people don't start conversations: fear.
They have a fear of rejection, fear of inadequacy, or looking foolish. Practice helps the fear fade. The more you start conversations, the better you become at it.
Be the first to say hello.
When was the last time you invited a REFERRAL SOURCE to a networking event?
Introducing them to other businesspeople you know gives them an opportunity to meet others in your target market and may also provide new business opportunities.
Bring them to your networking meeting.
BNI Red Night on the USA Cruise
Our last night together was lots of fun, and it was easy to see the BNI part of the main dining room. I loved hanging out with all of you thank you for being part of BNI. 💖

Friday Fact
What: The First Ivanism
When: December 1985
Why: It was the end of BNI’s first year and we had 20 chapters.
I hosted a mixer. People were sitting at tables with people they already knew, eating the food.
And that's how the very first Ivanism came to be.
Your network can be an important part of your community.
