We are pleased to announce the PGP Class of 2015 Startup Fellowship, which will support student entrepreneurs through ISPROUTE, ISB’s structured pre-incubation programme. The initiative will be funded through the PGP Class of 2015 (Hyderabad cohort) Startup Endowment Fund, with ISB topping up the corpus to ensure sustained annual support. It will provide an annual grant to an eligible student or student-led team from the ongoing PGP class to pursue their entrepreneurial ventures. The MoU for the fellowship was exchanged between Dean Madan Pillutla and representatives of the PGP Class of 2015, in the presence of @KumaraGuru, Senior Director – Advancement, Alumni Engagement and External Relations, ISB and Saumya Kumar, Director, ISB I-Venture. “Remember that change is progress, and hence change is the challenge.” These were the words of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, then the Presidential candidate, to ISB’s founding class at the School’s first Graduation Day in 2002, where he joined us as Chief Guest. On his birth anniversary, observed as World Students’ Day in India, we remember Dr. Kalam and the message he shared with our first graduates. Twenty-five years on, his words continue to resonate as change remains central to our journey. As ISB marks its Silver Jubilee, we revisit significant moments and the people who have been part of our journey. #ISB25 #ISBSilverJubilee #APJAbdulKalam

Participated in an engaging conversation on my book, A World Adrift: A Parliamentarian’s Perspective on Global Power Dynamics, at the ISB Leadership Summit hosted by the Indian School of Business at its Mohali Campus, Punjab. The conversation explored the rapidly evolving global order, shifting geopolitical equations, strategic uncertainty, and the challenges and opportunities these transformations present for India. The exchange offered an opportunity to reflect on the larger questions of statecraft, global power and India’s place in an increasingly complex international landscape. It was a privilege to engage with the intellectually vibrant community at ISB and to exchange perspectives with an audience deeply interested in leadership, public policy and the forces shaping our world.

Prime Minister @narendramodi recently highlighted the impact of the #PMSVANidhi scheme and cited findings from a study on the scheme’s outcomes for street vendors. The study, led by ISB Professor @TantriPrasanna, examined the scheme’s impact across three key areas: post-pandemic relief, business growth, and the creation of credit histories and digital identities. It found that approximately 85% of vendors now use digital payment systems, up from around 40% in 2022. The Government of India extended PM SVANidhi until 2030 last year. The findings add to the evidence on how the scheme has expanded access to formal finance and digital payments for street vendors, offering insights relevant to policy and financial inclusion.
