I know our customers and communities across Northwest Florida have been through so much in the wake of Hurricane Isaias. I was there throughout our response and saw firsthand the challenges you’re facing. I’m grateful to our team for the long hours and commitment they’ve shown, including the thousands of men and women from 29 states who supported our restoration. And I’m impressed by the resilience of our customers and the way people across Northwest Florida have come together to help each other. Thank you for your patience. We know restoring power is just one step in the recovery ahead for many of the communities impacted by Isaias. As Northwest Florida recovers, we’ll continue to be here for you. – Scott Bores, FPL president & CEO

Every customer still without power remains our priority. Crews continue working across affected communities to restore power to every customer who can safely receive it. A cold front moving through the area this weekend is expected to bring strong winds, creating conditions that will impact power lines. As a result, customers in areas affected by Hurricane Isaias may experience weather-related outages. On location: Brent Lane in Pensacola, Florida

Up to $2,000 may be available to eligible households for qualifying electrical repairs after Hurricane Isaias. It is something most homeowners never have to think about, but some equipment connected to the home, including the meter enclosure or weatherhead, must be repaired by a licensed electrician before service can be safely restored. This graphic explains which equipment FPL maintains, which equipment is part of the home. To apply for assistance through FPL Care To Share, visit: spr.ly/6012BHJRhw

Crews installed a replacement pole along Ariola Drive today after Hurricane Isaias snapped the original pole in half. It is one of several poles being replaced to help restore service across Pensacola Beach. With the main feeder restored, crews are now moving through side streets and neighborhoods, repairing damaged power lines and replacing poles while navigating water intrusion and work sites near the Gulf.

Power restoration can look different from one home to the next, even on the same street. The equipment serving your home may still need repairs, or crews may be working elsewhere on the electric grid to complete repairs needed to restore your power. Our teams will continue working until every customer is restored.
